In a Storm? Seek Refuge.
Psalm 46:1-3 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When we have a need in our life all we have to do is put our trust in God and He will see us thru. God is our refuge in our times of need and despair. Too many go out and search for peace in worldly things. God didn't call us to rest, He called us to battle the enemy. He understands though we need to rest at times. The church building is not a place of refuge because it can be destroyed. You will find peace and refuge within Jesus anywhere you can pray and kneel before Him. How long do you travel before you pray to God? If you've got a heart for God, you WILL be in a storm. What one sows they shall reap. There are people everywhere that are in a desperate need. It will come when we will have to take a stand for what you believe in. When you need the strength to make it one more day, God is the strength. If you live in sin and think that God will help you, you're wrong. God will not hear your prayers of help if you hold on to the sin in your life. What is the first thing you do when trouble hits?
Preached by Tommy Boring on July 15, 2015 (Wednesday).
