Get "Jonah" Out Of The Boat
Jonah 1:15-16 (Part of the Revival 2018 series).

There's not one person that's not been tempted. A lot of times we like to give credit to the devil, "the devil made me do it". We like to blame not doing something that God told us to do on ignorance.

Sin is willing to pay whatever price to get in your life. John 10:10, sin is willing to and so will you. Are you willing to make the payment as well? Sin is just pleasurable for just a season. Our season take of a quarter of the year, the rest is another. This means that the rest of the sin payment is three quarters longer.

Sin is just a downward spiral. Sin will pull you down further and further.

Sin will always pull you away from God. There's a wedge, a distance between you and God. You may have created some distance but God ALWAYS knows what you're doing and watching. God isn't going anywhere so if there is distance, you've created it.

Sin will cause destruction. You might bend for a little while but sin will begin to tear and destroy your life. Homes, families, lives, churches have all been destroyed because of sin.

Sin will get rid of the Godly things. The bible will go, the studying, the praying, holiness, righteousness, church attendance, kindness, tender hearted, forgiveness to others, these are all things that will be cast out if you keep the sin in your life.

Sin will sit back and laugh at you when you're fighting for everything you've got. It will run off and leave you deserted.

Sin will get so great that you won't be able to get rid of it. You must give the sin to God and He will rid it for you.

Romans 6:23, death is the payment for sin. We play with sin like a live grenade.

Old Man
Romans 6:1-7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Don't allow your old bones to run your life. The foot of the cross is always level. The devil usually comes with you with the same things over and over again. John 10:10 tells us that Satan is all about destruction. Can you recognized the grace of God? Psa 103:8; 12-14 has it ever crossed your mind what might have been if Jesus hadn't come into your life when He did? Salvation is not a license to sin. We should protect our witness from Satan. Grace came because Jesus knew us therefore we must be born again. No matter how old you are in Christ, you should still have a conviction of sin. We as Christians should be in constant pursuit of perfection. John 16:7-11 there is no amount of parental push that could convict one of their sins. Only God can convict one of their sins as God knows the heart. The Holy Spirit must be at work before one can be saved. John 16:9 unbelief is the main culprit and the most basic of sins. James 4:7 will always make the Devil mad. Eph 4:21-32 always speak the truth. We should never let the day end being mad at someone. Theft should never be a part of a Christians life. A Christian should work in order to receive for the giving to others in need.

The Wiles of the Devil
Ephesians 6:10-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Satan is a created being and is no different than the angels in heaven. Satan has many tactics that he uses on the children of God on a daily basis. The thief has come to steal, kill and destroy. The thief is the devil and the wicked spirits that serve him. Their are enough to spread across the world. The devil does not have free rein of a christian because we are protected by the shield of God. John 10:10, 2 Cor 2:11, Eph 6:16, 1 Peter 5:8 We truly have an enemy and we can not stand in the flesh to fight him. It takes something greater than the flesh to fight him because he is in the sprint therefore must be fought in the spirit. He is not omnipresent but has many demons that do his handy-work. This world currently is the devils domain until Jesus comes back. The very thing that we live in, the flesh, wants to live in the world because of it’s lust. Nothing has changed since Adam and Eve because he is still deceiving and lying to people everyday. What a terrifying thing to be able to see with our eyes the spiritual warfare that goes on all around us. If we are saved then we are protected by Gods great hand and satan can not get to us unless God allows it. When Jesus died, He died for ALL but many will not submit to Him. If you’re playing with the devil he will take you further than you ever thought you would go quicker than you ever thought. When you light a match and place that flame under your hand, you will pull your hand back because there is a nerve that warns you of danger. Just as that nerve warns you, God also warns you of the dangers of the devil. Satan wants to destroy your testimony if you’re saved. Satan will use anything he can to tear you down. He will use religion itself to bring you down. If you are saved then you’re going to heaven but that doesn’t mean that if you play with the devil that he will keep people around you lost and going into hell. We hear it everyday, pastors having affairs because satan laid a woman in their lives. We as humans are ignorant to satan’s lies and deceptions.

So What's Your Plan?
John 10:6-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Most say they pray but do they really? Are you praying the right way? When you have that intimate time with God in prayer, is your closet clean? The devil will often tell us that our little prayers are just good enough. But, the truth is, we are not engaged and are not fighting. So what's the big deal on not praying or engaging ourselves in the war? Souls, lost souls are in the balance. The story has been told over and over because people will not listen. The problem is not sin, it's because people refuse to let God work. There is NO other way to heaven but through Jesus Christ, none. The enemy has a plan in place already, do you? We are all guilty of pride and selfishness. We find ourselves that way because we choose to listen to the enemy. A robber is someone that takes things with force that does not belong to them. A thief is someone that take things by manipulation. When something in your life needs prayer you will shut your life down to pray for that need. But when we hear of someone else's prayer we just speak a prayer and we go on with our regular life. There is never a day that goes by that we are not a sinner. It's a privilege to pray corporately but the devil says it's ok to just sit back. The worst thing for a Christian to be is satisfied. Faith doesn't mean anything until it's been worked. Satan can only be in one place at one time, but he has many demons, helpers. Satan himself was thrown out of heaven because he was prideful but we think we can get away with it daily. Have you fully surrendered your life to God? The enemy will tell you that as long as your life, family and health is ok, everything is alright. If you think you don't need to change, then that's one of your biggest problems.

The Thief Called, Worry
Philippians 4:1-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The truth is, we all worry. We worry because we don't know how to fix it. Most all things in life, we can't control. Burdens can't take your joy unless you worry about them. Worrying creates doubt and fear. Worrying about the problem doesn't fix it. How to fix "worry" or capture the thief? Don't worry about all the things in the world, pray about it. The first thing is to pray correctly through supplication and thanksgiving. Supplication means to let God know what we need through caring. Asking, "please help me...". Giving thanks is a component of your faith. It means you know and believe that God can do it. Romans 8:28 You may not think that it will be what you think is right but, God has never made a mistake. The second thing about fixing worry is thinking right. One can worry themselves physically sick. The third thing is right living. You must live for God in order to control your worry. If one simply does those three things, right praying, right thinking and right living one can have the greatest want in all mankind. PEACE! You don't just do these three things when you're in trouble, it's a life. Isaiah 26:3
