Stand With God
Romans 3:1-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Let God be true with everything and every man a liar. God hasn't changed His mind on His law. If it doesn't line up with the Word of God, then stand against it. The church has always struggled with satan trying to tear it up. People try to find a loophole in the Word of God to make their sin ok. Malachi 3:6 How many times a day do we sin? Not big sin or little sin, just plain old sin. Gods Word was their in the beginning of time, it will be here in the very end. People have always tried to change the bible to make it fit what they want. If you stand with the Word of God, you will be persecuted for it. Just because a "man of god" speaks doesn't mean it's biblical. Study the Word for yourself and make sure it lines up with what is preached.
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on June 4, 2014 (Wednesday).
Transformed By Beholding
2 Corinthians 3:12-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Christians need to continue to grow. We should not allow the things of the world to come into our lives. If you've been born again, you know if you're living your life according to God. If you are saved ask yourself a question, are you still drinking milk from God? The Jewish nation is blinded also the lost to what the saved can see. If one is saved, God has given you something that can transform your life. God wants a player not a spectator. If you are growing there will be pain. Christians are not growing because they are not attending school, reading from the text book and studying for their tests. If you've got a heart for God, you'll want to be more like a God.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 4, 2013 (Wednesday).
Who Do They See?
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Thou shalt not bare false witness. One day whether lost or saved you will stand before God and declare Him as God. Don't wait until that time because it will be too late to accept Him. Do you only live on Sunday and Wednesday for God? Do you only worship God while sitting in a pew? Do you tell others that you love God but not really mean it or show God? Does your life reflect God 100% of the time? You may not have a named title in the church but you were not called to salvation to simply warm a church pew. Some people, the only "Jesus" that they see, is your walk and life with Christ. Look into your own heart and ask yourself, am I truly living for God and showing others His ways?
Preached by Roger Best on July 17, 2013 (Wednesday).
God Will Use Anyone
1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God will use your obedience for great things. If you've been asked to do something for God, we've probably given an excuse why we can't. When God calls you to do something, He's already given you the ability to do it. It's not about how good or bad you think your abilities are, it's about the ability that God gives you to do His will. Don't work for yourself, work to uplift God to others. Don't look towards your insecurities or others, look to God. Stop and think what Jesus did for you and then think if it's worse than what He went through for you already.
Preached by Lucas Boring on May 29, 2013 (Wednesday).
Action From The Heart
Mark 14:3-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God values things differently than historians. In this story, she had a valuable box, container. She didn't just open it, she broke the container holding the very valuable ointment. It was customary that woman didn't have the rights to do what she did, but she broke tradition to fulfill God's work. Tradition will destroy a church. Sunday school teachers should be more studied up than the preachers. Singers should sing unto The Lord with all your might. Pray, pray in the Spirit, seek Him. When you work, work for Jesus not for man. When you start to do something extra ordinary for Jesus, you will have conflict. If God calls you to do something different, just simply do it. Have you went beyond the ordinary? You don't have to be a preacher to lead people to Christ.  What have you done for Jesus? What will you do for Jesus?
Preached by Rick Rutherford on May 15, 2013 (Wednesday).
