Galatians 6:7-10 (Part of the The Need For Christian Duties series).
|Seems as if there is a great need for patience. Folks don't seem to want to wait anymore for just about everything. When we plant a garden we plant seeds, those seeds take time to grow. If one is patient then they should receive a great harvest.
There is a reaping whether it be a good harvest or bad. Depending on what is sowed depends on what is reaped. Consequences for sin is a harvest that can never be removed for the rest of ones life. We all have a choice to make whether they will do good or bad. Don't be deceived because the penalty for sin is great. Some of the leaders of our country are deceived. We can make laws and change them to try to make a persons live a certain way but none of these changes will ever lead to goodness. People no longer have the fear of God in their hearts therefore they live a life of worldliness. God holds your very breath and should be reverenced as such. For whatever reason God still has mercy for this country even though most have forgotten who He truly is.
No matter where you go in your life at least one of Gods people will be with you. Don't be deceived by what the world says. Just as in Noah's time, they mocked God and him as he built the ark. In the end, God sent the flood and only saved those that believed In Him, Noah's family.
Now if one plants a seed of corn then one expects a stalk of corn to grow from that seed. Why would anyone expect anything less about the choices of the way they live and sow life or death. There is a difference in knowing that you're doing wrong and continuing and not knowing. To know and do against it is called rebelling.
One can't live like they want to during the week and expect God to be worshipped on Sunday. So we should sow to the Spirit Monday thru Sunday and we will reap what we sow. How many struggle on Mondays to show your happy in your spirit? We should take every opportunity we get to uplift our fellow man especially our brothers and sisters in Christ. But, something holds us back and it's because we are humans and therefore we are sinners. We should fight against the sinful nature of our flesh striving to overcome it to uplift the name of Jesus.
If you act like, dress like, talk like and look like the world, then how is the world supposed to know that you're a Christian?
Seeds don't grow instantly, therefore don't give up. People usually don't come to Jesus instantly, don't give up on them! Keep planting the seeds of love and be patient.

Are You Slinging The Seed?
Mark 4:13-20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
A constant is that those that are saved should be sowing. When you sow your salvation it will go everywhere. It's everyone's jobs to sow the Word of God, not just the preachers. Another constant is the seed which does not change. Be consistent in front of others. Stop changing, wavering in your faith and just get out there and sow the seeds. The variables are the first point and that is the wayside, hard ground. Some are hard hearted and the seed can't be planted because the seed can't take root. The devil comes in and snatches the seed up. God didn't call us to be tillers, only sowers. Another variable is the stony ground. While the dirt surrounding the rocks is broken up, the rocks will not allow the seeds to get nutrients and not able to bare fruit and quickly dies. These are people that are looking for peace, joy or love but think they are saved but are not. They were "saved" through emotions which means they were not saved at all. We are not a grounds keeper, but a sower only. The third variable was the thorny ground. The seed will reach the good soil and will receive the seed but is quickly smothered out by the thorns. These are the people that think they are saved but the lusts of the world quickly kill it. We are not a bush hog, we are a sower only. Once the convicting power of God tears up your ground, breaks up you hardened heart, fertilizes it with some fear, love and faith, the seed will take hold and grow to produce fruit. So what must we as a saved person do in order for the seed to grow in order to produce fruit? We must pray for the ground to become made ready to receive the seed. God must make the ground ready. We must pray for the strongholds to be removed.

What Ground Are You?
Mark 4:14-20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
You can hear it but not receive it. It takes a little bit of effort to work. The seed is a seed, it does not change. The ground changes, rocky, weeds and infertile ground.

Don't Kid Yourself
James 1:19-21 (Part of the Spiritual Maturity series).
Do you think you are saved? Christians, do you just slide by? Do you "hear" the Word? If your garden is full of weeds and rocks, don't expect for it to produce good fruits.
