Our Lifeline, Prayer
Daniel 6:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
While examining yourself, how often do you pray to God? Churches often have a revival once or twice a year but, while these revivals are good they do not last. We should have an internal revival daily within ourselves. Our human flesh does not want to humble itself to God. Most of the times we find ourselves on top of the mountain and not praying. We all need God on the mountain tops the same as in the valleys. How do you help people see the need they need? It's hard enough to see it in ourselves. Often in our lives the things around us are brought upon by disasters that happen around us. Most Wednesday night services were started because of the wars our country were in to pray for our loved ones and the countries safety. What's to be expected if we fully give ourselves to prayer? You may not be able to do a lot of things but the one thing that each and every person can do is pray. Do you truly care for the people around you? We must be honest when it comes to the works that we should be doing. We often say, "that's not my job", "they're not my family", etc. There have been great revivals in history. Simple men standing and proclaiming God to hundreds if not millions of lost and saved alike. Great revivals are not dictated on the time they were because great revivals have been going on since biblical times.

Donkeys, Elephants and the Lamb
John 14:27 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
In this upcoming election we are at a turning point. No matter who me is elected our confidence is not in the elected president. We as the children of God have one thing that we must do and that's to surrender ourselves to God. It's time that the children of God to wake up! There is not a man or woman that can lead us out of the destruction the devil throws. We as the United States are already headed down a path of destruction. Neither elected presidential candidate can save us from the destruction ahead, only God can save us. We are not the most wicked nation but we are leaving the Rock that keeps us solid. God rules over the land just as He did in the beginning. The battle is not ours but the Lords. God knows every ploy of the enemy. The truth is, is that with every election is a historical election. Romans 13:1 The real power is not the president but God that rules over the presidents and the world. God has a plan to eternity and we only see a small glimpse of that. Romans 3:2-7 We should do right not wrong, murdering people outside of an abortion clinic is not the right thing to do. We should pay the taxes even though we would not agree with them. Don't be afraid or dismayed because our hope is not in the man but in God.

A Firm Foundation
1 Corinthians 3:10-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The word foundation is mentioned 84 times in the bible. When one decided to build a building one sits down and figures how to do it. Then the footers are dug down to solid ground to have a firm foundation. So how firm is your foundation with Jesus Christ? The first step in having a firm foundation in Christ is being saved. When tragedy shows up and shakes your life will you still stand? Acts 8:5-8 We have no idea what we will face each day but we must trust in the one that does know, God. Acts 8:30-31 How can a lost person be saved unless someone tell them? Teens are looking for guidance. Adults should watch what they teach at all times. Young people should find an elder and allow them to teach them a firm foundation.

Have You Been Away Too Long?
Ruth 1:1-7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When God sends judgment, you can't outrun it. If you're trying to make up your mind whether you will serve God or not, you'll never find peace outside of God. You're not your own anymore if your a child of God. You must repent and get right with God or your life will just get worse. There are people all over this world that have made a decision to try to do it there own way instead of relying on God. God knows where you're going and how far you're going to go. Each time you decide to go against God just for a little while and you think it won't matter, it does. You can't live for the devil one day and live for God the next. God is in full control, He know every thought that you have or going to have. You may think you may live any way you won't but you can't, there is a law set in place and you will not break it. Fathers have a responsibility to teach and show your family to God. Any time you go against the Word of God, you've separated yourself from God. Don't leave God for anything or any person. The problem with sin is that it will keep you longer than you intend. Sin will also cost you more than you'll ever want to pay. When the devil gets done with you you will have regrets with all that you've decided to do for him.

The Expectation Of Salvation
Matthew 4:17 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
What does it mean to repent? It means you recognize that you've done wrong, sinned and need forgiveness and you turn from it. You can't hold on to the world and be saved. You can't be saved and want to live in the world. God is not just an addition, He makes you alive. Everyone wants a savior. If you've been saved, you've been bought with a great price. Your actions should reflect your salvation. You should continue to do Gods work, continuously turning towards Christ and away for. The world. Once you are saved, He didn't save you to sit, He saved you to work for Him. Don't just say you love each other, put actions behind it. You must allow God to change you. If you do not allow Him to change you, He will chastise you if you are saved. You can not hide your sins for God. It's usually easier to see your neighbors wrong doings, but we should at ourselves first. He will not allow you to bring shame to His name and salvation. Do not look to the world for your standards, look unto Gods. Sin destroys everything it comes in contact with, it is death. If something keeps you from serving God, it isn't worth anything and is a sin. Christ went all the way on the cross, He expects you to go all the way too. You are either with Him 100% or of the world.
Preached by Lucas Boring on July 14, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
