Who is Wise in God?
James 3:13-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We should be careful that it's not about pride. In order to be taught, you must be teachable. You must forget about what people have said and get back to the Word of God. The Word of God is what will judge and teach, not what our forefathers set forth or said. A lot of people excuse themselves by not opening the bible. We should study to prove ourselves. If you asked someone a legitimate question they will try to give you an honest answer. Sometimes it's days if not weeks before we will pick up our bibles. Just because you read it doesn't mean that you've studied it. The bible isn't a dead word so it never gets old, it's a living word. One can't retire from God. It thrills God to get you smart in the Word. Sunday school is a must because we study the scripture. You need Jesus Christ as a tutor in your life daily. You can identify a wise man by his words. Conversation of God will make you a wise person. Just like their conversation, their works should back it up. If you can't walk it, don't talk it. If your works don't match your words then your neighbor will see a hypocrite. Where is righteousness found? The bible. Good conversation and good works will usually bring forth pride. Pride comes before a fall. Your good words from God and your good works from God will bring forth wisdom as long as you keep it in your heart and not your mind. A wise person is full of love and what is love? Jesus. If you're holding envy and strife in your heart then you are of the world and not of God. A Godly wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be persuaded by Gods Word, full of mercy and good works, without suspicion and is without hypocrisy. James 1:5 If you want wisdom, ask God for it without doubt and it will be given.

Consequences For Denying God
Romans 1:18-32 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We live in a time where when the truth is told it is called a hate crime. God is in control and will always be in control. There is a price tag for living in rebellion against God. God hasn't changed His mind about how wicked sin is. Any sexual sin is an abomination against God. The ones that God has given up to their own sin, have no remorse for what they do. They do not see that they have sinned against an all holy God. If you are a Christian He will NEVER let you go. God created one man for one woman for one life. People don't want it Gods way, they want it their way. The scariest way to be is when God gives you up to your own self. The world says that it's ok to live in a sexually perverted way. Can God save a reprobate mind? The only thing God can't do is lie. A lot of people are prejudice. How could a serial killer continue to kill others and enjoy it. It's not because they are physically sick, it's because they have been turned over to themselves. Colossians 3:5
Preached by Tommy Boring on February 23, 2014 (Sunday Morning).
What Were You Saved From?
Romans 3:23-26 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We are all sinners. In order for us to be justified, someone had to pay the debt. We want to look at ourselves and think that we are a good person with only one sin making us bad. God still punishes sin. We were all born into sin. If could just see what God has saved us from we would all worship differently. We do not deserve to be saved from the sin and death but God shows grace and mercy. In order for us to receive mercy God had to show justice. Jesus walked this earth spotless and perfect but in an instant He took on ALL of our sins and shame. God had to show justice to His son because Jesus took on our sin and God can't look upon sin. Many of people have been beaten and crucified but Jesus was different as He took upon our sins. As a christian we should not look at ourselves as being better than a lost. There will come a day when Christ comes back and our spiritual warfare and struggles will be over. No matter how hard one tries to think about how holy God is, our flesh will kick in and sin takes over. We will never be able to witness the  awesomeness of Gods glory here on this earth in our flesh. Not until God transforms our body into our glorified bodies will we be able to see His glory in its fullness.
