The Call To Prayer; Having A Blank Check
Jeremiah 33:3 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Now if God is going to command us to pray then He will answer us. He will do His part. We need to be reminded by God. How do we know that God will answer our prayer? One, because He said He would. Now we like to pick and choose what we want from the Bible. But the Bible plainly states that He answers prayer. Number two, the nature of God, He is love. Now consider the nature of your prayer. When we meet certain conditions and God is love and mercy, would He not answer us? Now if God heard your prayer when you were a sinner asking for salvation, how much more would He hear you if your one of His, saved? Can God fail? Can God lie? Third, thinking about the times that He’s already answered the prayers. He has proven Himself faithful over and over time and again. Now God doesn’t go against His will. Everything that He answers it’s always for our better good. Now the answers may not be what we think it should have been. At times He may want us to wait some and grow patience. God is saying that anything is possible but it’s not our job to fill in the blank check. We must be careful with what we ask God. Don’t limit God on what we ask. He goes far and above our understandings so we shouldn’t limit Him. Romans 8:28; if you’re born again then all things work towards you in the good. Now it may not look good at the time but we don’t know what’s best, only God does. God also does things that we can’t comprehend. At this moment our country seems to be falling apart at its seams. How many of us know what to do, how to fix it? Only God knows how to turn it around, we don’t. God is all knowing and always goes further than what we’ve asked. Prayer produces truth. Truth comes thru prayer. How many times have you read your bible and not gotten anything out of it? Try praying before you dig into His word and ask Him to feed you. True prayer grows us spiritually deeper to God. Jesus prayed all night on the mount because He needed to pick twelve disciples. Prayer delivers deliverance. Great deliverance often requires great prayer. Prayer also causes great service. We have got to pray in order to know what we need to do. It’s not the preachers job to bare your burden. He is more than happy to help pray for something but it’s your job as well. To be a great servant requires frequent prayer. If you’re born again then this means that you prayed for Him to save you. We must commit ourselves to prayer. Romans 8:32

Our Lifeline, Prayer
Daniel 6:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
While examining yourself, how often do you pray to God? Churches often have a revival once or twice a year but, while these revivals are good they do not last. We should have an internal revival daily within ourselves. Our human flesh does not want to humble itself to God. Most of the times we find ourselves on top of the mountain and not praying. We all need God on the mountain tops the same as in the valleys. How do you help people see the need they need? It's hard enough to see it in ourselves. Often in our lives the things around us are brought upon by disasters that happen around us. Most Wednesday night services were started because of the wars our country were in to pray for our loved ones and the countries safety. What's to be expected if we fully give ourselves to prayer? You may not be able to do a lot of things but the one thing that each and every person can do is pray. Do you truly care for the people around you? We must be honest when it comes to the works that we should be doing. We often say, "that's not my job", "they're not my family", etc. There have been great revivals in history. Simple men standing and proclaiming God to hundreds if not millions of lost and saved alike. Great revivals are not dictated on the time they were because great revivals have been going on since biblical times.

Reverence Only To God
Psalm 89:5-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
One should be careful of what one seems holy, worshipped. People these days seem to NEED their cell phone. People don't want to hear that we should fear God. When you truly know God then you'll have a reverence to Him. A lot of people hold a lot of things to a higher standard and those things will all burn up in the end. One can't take those things with them when they die. People come in Sunday after Sunday but they come and go the same way. It matters what we worship. There should only be one thing that is revered and that is God. Three categories should be thought on and given up one. Days and times are not to be reverenced. Six days should a person work but the seventh should be used as a day of rest and worship. Not only are days not to be reverenced but the events should also not be. There will never be a holiday more important than Jesus. Things should not be worshipped. In some religions items are used for worship, beads, crucifixes, etc. if those things are a part of your worship and keep you from worshipping if you do not have it, get rid of it. The church building itself has no power to save and therefore is not needed for God to show up. Should we respect it, honor it, keep it as clean as our own, yes-yes and yes again. But only God should be worshipped and not the building. The bible should not be worshipped. You must be careful about the Holy Word and not to let the book itself become more holy than God. There are times that you'll want to hold your bible, sleep with it, not leave its side, but in the end it's only a book. If your bible burnt to ash Jesus would still be Jesus and you could simply go out and get a new one. People should not be revered. Mary the mother of Jesus is no different than one of us and should not be higher than God. The Pope is commonly referred to as the Holy Father, His Holiness, The Rock, Supreme Pontiff, Holy of Kings, however he is no holy than the next person. The pastor of a church should also not be worshipped. When the time comes and the pastor leaves a church, some people will follow the man. Pastors will often have reverend as their title, a poor practice but they should not be reverenced. One can not worship everything and ever worship God. God is first and everything else should follow in its place. Acts 12:4, you can personally know the Pope and not know Jesus Christ and bust Hell wide open at your death.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 (Part of the The Need For Christian Duties series).
No matter who is doing the teaching or preaching we should always know if it's the truth or not. There are many that for many years claim to be Christian but don't even know what the bible says. How can you check what is being taught if you don't know what the truth is? The only source of truth is the Word of God. 1 John 4:1, there are a lot of wolves in sheep clothing. We should not be live every spirit because not all spirits are good. A preacher should always be reading and have the bible with them at all times. Opinions are not truth but of personal thoughts. Preachers can lead you wrong. They can be teaching you something that they don't fully know themselves. It's not that all would intentionally mislead or misguide but simply not know and teach on assumptions. If you don't go to Sunday School then you need to start. The key word there is school. Our church is in session for about an hour learning more about Gods Word every Sunday. We should prove the preaching and to prove all things. We should know the difference between good and evil. Do you believe there is a devil? A car mass does one thing and one thing only, it points to true north. Just as the compass, the scripture points to the truth. We are pretty smart at most times and we know when we are in the middle of something that's not right. How do they know what is a counterfeit bill, they study the real. Not only should we prove what is good but we are to hold to those truths. It's a continuous process of sowing and reaping good things. The preacher can't plant the good stuff for you. He plants his own and you plant your own. In order to hold fast to the good it takes discipline. A lot of people don't like discipline because it's usually painful. Heb 10:23, you've got to make a choice and commit. Psa 119:33-34, once you've proven all things to the good then you should stick to the good, Phil 4:8.

You Can't Eat Cheetos® And Lose Weight
Jude 1:3 (Part of the Revival 2018 series).
You can't hold hands with the devil and run with the Lord.
Satan walks about looking for people that he can take down. We are in a constant battle again the devil. There are places where people would tell the preachers to not preach what God has given to them.
We need to leave an example of how good God is. We need to agonize for the power of God. The church should want to be number 1 and strive for it. We should give it all we've got, be in it to win it!
Heb 12:1, we've got to get rid of sin and stop babying it. You're not gonna wake up one day and the sin just be gone. You're gonna have to deal with it to get rid of it. Have you ever seen anyone run with a bowling ball on their hand? Have you ever seen anyone run hand in hand with another? One can't do it. This is a choice that's all about you. You can't blame your teach, preacher or deacon. It's about a choice that YOU'VE got to make. Now God is not gonna leave you out there all on your own. Luke 22:44, Jesus got a vision from Heaven and it strengthened Him. Jesus isn't gonna ask you to do anything that He Himself hasn't done already.
It's important for the next generation coming up that we contend for the faith.
Jude 1:20, are you not getting anything out of the service, preaching or being feed? You've stopped contending for the faith. Pick up your bible and truly study it. God will lead you if you let Him. Put some time into your prayer.
Jude 1:21, you should keep yourself in the love of God. Keep your eyes on Christ.
Jude 1:22-23, stop pointing your fingers at others and have the love of Christ in yourselves. Have some compassion for others. Put the whole armor of God on and when you see someone struggling in sin or going to Hell, help them. This requires you to do something!
The lack of faith will stop you and the church dead in its tracks. Without God, you can not. Without you, He will not.
Heb 11:4, Abel brought a better sacrifice, his best and what God required. Cain brought junk and this went against what God sat forth. Abel dealt with his sin but Cain didn't want to and wanted to do it on his terms. We must ALL deal with our sin. This is the very first step.
Heb 11:5-6, Enoch walked by faith. We must stop walking with ourselves, the world and start walking with God 24/7. Establish a walk with God each and every day. Diligently search out Gods path.
Heb 11:7, Noah worked by faith because God told him something that sounded crazy to others. It shouldn't matter how crazy it might sound, work and do it for God. Trust that what God tells you is truth!
Heb 11:8-10, some sit under the influence of their old sins. If God has forgiven you of your sins then they are forever gone. Abraham and Sara obeyed.
David Max Simpson. Some of us have great family members of Godly influences. Those that had a heritage had a great spiritual upbringing. The others brings us to David Simpson. He parents were not believers at all but was saved at a tent revival. Both of his parents made fun of him and tried to discourage him about his salvation. He prayed for his parents nightly and then was called to preach. He explain to his parents again about his calling to preach and the same results from his parents was received. This man fought for his faith and never gave up and brought up many preachers generation after generation.
Drop your selfish reigns and let God be God.
