Living A Broken Life
Daniel 5:18-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God is able to bring anyone down to a humility. Your pride will take you down. Had can raise a person up and He most certainly can bring them back down. Everyday people let pride stop them from worshipping God. Do you think your life is needed by God for something your capable of doing? David's fall wasn't his lust but his pride that made him think that since he was the king he could have anything he wanted. Pride removed half of Heaven when Lucifer was thrown from it. Guess what kills churches today, pride. How should we live a life without pride? We should live broken, humbled. Phil 2:1-3, this should be our guide in our lives. How many times have you attended church and thought you're doing good. You've read your bible and prayed some during the week. But once you've entered the church and worship begins it tears thru you because of your lack prideful thoughts of thinking you've accomplished something. 1 Peter 5:6, Phil 2:5, stay humble! We are hypocrites because most say that we are good but we are not. Phil 2:6, Jesus was sent to become a human man. He is God incarnate therefore the greatest humility that a God would become a person. Thinking of who was worth Christ's death to remove our sins. Not one person is worth His love. We are to love our neighbor as ourselves. You will never accomplish that while having pride in your life. Money can disappear tomorrow. Your health while good today could turn horrible bad tomorrow.

Pray
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (Part of the The Need For Christian Duties series).
One way to rejoice more is to pray more. There was a need to pray back in biblical times and for today. The problem then was that people didn't pray like they should just as today's time, Luke 18:1. I Luke 18 we read of a parable about a woman that kept asking for help. In the end the woman was granted her request because the judge was tired of her asking. How much more does God love us than that of the judge? Do you expect and answer immediately from God when you pray? Do you expect your request to be answered the way you want it when you pray? Do you even pray, pray without ceasing?

Why pray? Matt 26:41, one prays better when there is trouble in their life. So why do we pray? We pray because we are weak. We don't have the answers.

When to pray? Now Daniel prayed morning, noon and night. If we are not careful that will be the mandate that we will place on our prayer time. We should always be praying and reaching to Him. Every time that it is possible, we should be praying.

What to pray? Prayer is no more than opening your heart and knowing whom you're speaking to. Did you know that God already knows why and what we are praying for or about? Recognize whom God is, it should always have praise to God. We need some bread, we must be honest, bread is what we depend on God for. Our breath is our bread. Our body that works by itself, God controls, is our bread. A man can not forgive you of your sins no matter whom the man is. When we pray we should be asking what we need from within our hearts.

How to pray? The best example of this is when Jesus was in the garden praying, Matt 26. Jesus was fervent and was also honest. God is not fooled by a big speech. We should be open with God, He's not surprised. If you've got an problem with someone then you've got to be honest because He will want you to take care of the problem. So you didn't like how God answered your prayer, be honest about it. Fervent means that it's one on one. You must find alone time with God.

Will you pray? Every time the doors are open to the church we are always asking one to pray? It's always an open invitation to pray. No one is holding you back from praying. He's not fooled by you avoiding to pray.

Christian Assembly
Matthew 18:15-20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Three points are revealed in Mat 18:20. Christian assemblies are appointed. It was appointed that on a certain day that a body of believers would get together to honor God. Not everyone could meet tonight but God knows whom they are if they could actually make it. If a famous person was appointed to be at the church house and folks knew about it, we would have to find other places for them all to park because we wouldn't be able to house them all. Some will get discouragement because of the low attendance but God dealt with the low attendance. God will bless in just two people as He will in a million in attendance. Our church times are an actual scheduled appointment that we have with God. The second point is the how. Whenever at least two gather in HIS name, no other purpose but His, He would be there. A hundred people could declare a time to gather together but if they all left Jesus at home, God will not be there. The third point is if the other two are upheld, God WILL be in the midst of them. It only takes two, in agreement to meet God, for God to come and visit with them. Hebrews 10:25

This Then Is The Message (Part 2)
1 John 1:5-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There is only one truth and if you miss it then your eternity will be spent in hell. If you've been born again than you can't be consumed by the darkness of the world. Three mistakes are usually made. The first is the lie of walking in the light but are lost and in darkness. If darkness rules in your life then you need to examine your life. Where and what is your greatest desire? If you've been born again and sin, then there is a pain that begins until we are forgiven for that sin. Mistake number two is saying we have no sin in our lives. Everyone is a sinner, we all sin whether we are lost or saved. The bible clearly states that we are all sinners and come short of the glory of God. The third mistake is if we say we haven't sinned then we make God a liar therefor the Word is not in us. It's often painful to ask for forgiveness but, if we confess our sins then God will forgive us.

Privileged Beyond... (Part 2)
Hebrews 10:19-25 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Part one (Wednesday) declares the privileges that we have with God. God made a way for us to come to the throne of Grace thru Christ alone. A lot of people don't like to be told what to do. If someone told you that you have an ailment that you'll die from yet someone else comes to you and explains that they have the cure. You're reaction would be, whatever it takes I want to live. You'll be forever in debt to that person for that cure. Grace is free. This free is not an indication of it being cheap. There are some debts, responsibilities that we owe to God for that forever cure over death. 1. We should draw near to God. This means to get rid of the lusts of the flesh and come to an altar for repentance. In order to get close to God you must want to be close to God and take action. 2. We must stay close to God. There are some that once they are next to God they quickly fall away. The flesh is strong and doesn't want to stay close to God. Once you've been healed from that death sentence ailment you don't want to stay close to the one that healed you? That seems slightly ungrateful. 3. We should love one another and lift one another up. If they don't love you, love them more than yourself. If they hate you, love them. God loved you unconditionally even though you never deserved His love. Love as Christ loved. 4. We should not fail to go to church and worshiping with others. When we attend church with others and are faithful attenders it helps others. It provokes love amongst the fellowship of others. When one is absent then the rest suffers. It's not a burden to attend church, the problem is that your heart is loving something else more than God and others. Anyone that joined the church did it on their own accord. You joined because you wanted to. When you joined you made an agreement to love, help and faithful service to the body of Christ, the church. We as a country are in a bad shape. No matter whom the president is elected, the masses are simply in a state of not caring for their neighbor. We will either repent as a nation or stand in Gods judgment. So when you see the day approaching of Gods wrath, the body of Christ becomes more and more important.
