Stopping The Voices
Psalm 40:1-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
David endured physical afflictions and he often prayed about them. Also, he prayed for his enemies. Just as he, discouragement affects us all and it all begins in our minds.

God can hear you as long as you have repented and hold no inequity in our hearts. If God granted every prayer we asked Him instantly then He would surely be our spare tire. But God makes us wait thru patience.

Our mind is liken to a horrible pit full of never ending noise. We can not stop it no matter what we do and try. Always thinking, always listening, always wondering and doubting. The miry clay being depression that our mind will usually begin to think about if we don't put our minds at ease thru Christ. People today are screaming to be rescued from their own minds.

The clearest your mind will ever be is when you allow God to work in your mind. Prayer can bring clarity and remove the doubt in our minds. Not only will God clear your mind and ease it but He will also place you on something solid that you DO know.

How many have things are rolling around in your mind that you can't get rid of? A grudge against someone? Worried about a sickness? Stressed about a lived one?

For a child of God we are not a victim but a victor! We choose everyday which one you want to be.

Preached by Tommy Boring on April 8, 2018 (Sunday Evening).
Were You Made a Rough Draft?
Psalm 139:1-24 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
None of us were made a rough draft. God made us exactly the way He wanted us to be. We should live happy about ourselves. The devil will have you think that you are alone. There is no shame in getting down, but there is shame in not getting up. God knows when we are going to slip. We are always falling and slipping, but God loves you anyway. God is still working on you to make you what you what you should be. Why do we let ourselves get down? Because we want to be perfect and we think we should be perfect. Our pride will keep you down where the devil wants you to be. If you've lived any length of time, then you've stumbled and fallen.
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on February 11, 2015 (Wednesday).
Made In The Shade
Psalm 121:5-8 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God is good regardless. 2 Timothy 1:12; Jude 1:24; 1 Peter 4:19; Philippians 4:7 Do you believe that you can keep yourself? God keeps you in His hand and protects you. Everything that you have committed unto God it is His forever. Shade comes from covering, shade is comfort. As God is our shade He is our protection. Have you ever thought about what God has done for you? Have you ever thought about what evil doesn't touch you because of His protection? Romans 8:35-39 There has never been a time when God left us alone.
Preached by Tommy Boring on January 19, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
AMEN
Psalm 106:47-48 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The word Amen is found both in the old and new testaments. Greek, Hebrew, Jewish and English, all are spelled and pronounced the same, the word amen. We often do not amen other persons speech.  Amen: Used to express agreement or approval. Amen is used as a direct expression of our belief. Amen is an important response to the Word of God that declares confidence and agreement. By verbally saying amen we have personally tied ourselves to the agreement to the Word of God. God instructed us to respond with Amen when the truth is told. There should be some response to the fact that we as Christians are redeemed, Psalm 107:1-2.
Preached by Tommy Boring on November 20, 2013 (Wednesday).
The Devine Protection Of God
Ruth 2:12 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
At times it seems that the world is bearing down on us, but God is always there in the time of need. He will never leave you or forsake you. The devil has never been in Gods presence under His protection. If you are saved you will be persecuted but trust
