The Wiles of the Devil
Ephesians 6:10-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Satan is a created being and is no different than the angels in heaven. Satan has many tactics that he uses on the children of God on a daily basis. The thief has come to steal, kill and destroy. The thief is the devil and the wicked spirits that serve him. Their are enough to spread across the world. The devil does not have free rein of a christian because we are protected by the shield of God. John 10:10, 2 Cor 2:11, Eph 6:16, 1 Peter 5:8 We truly have an enemy and we can not stand in the flesh to fight him. It takes something greater than the flesh to fight him because he is in the sprint therefore must be fought in the spirit. He is not omnipresent but has many demons that do his handy-work. This world currently is the devils domain until Jesus comes back. The very thing that we live in, the flesh, wants to live in the world because of it’s lust. Nothing has changed since Adam and Eve because he is still deceiving and lying to people everyday. What a terrifying thing to be able to see with our eyes the spiritual warfare that goes on all around us. If we are saved then we are protected by Gods great hand and satan can not get to us unless God allows it. When Jesus died, He died for ALL but many will not submit to Him. If you’re playing with the devil he will take you further than you ever thought you would go quicker than you ever thought. When you light a match and place that flame under your hand, you will pull your hand back because there is a nerve that warns you of danger. Just as that nerve warns you, God also warns you of the dangers of the devil. Satan wants to destroy your testimony if you’re saved. Satan will use anything he can to tear you down. He will use religion itself to bring you down. If you are saved then you’re going to heaven but that doesn’t mean that if you play with the devil that he will keep people around you lost and going into hell. We hear it everyday, pastors having affairs because satan laid a woman in their lives. We as humans are ignorant to satan’s lies and deceptions.

Just Give It To Him
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Got a problem? Stop holding on to it, let God have it. Give it all to Him and don't pick it back up. Trust that He WILL take care of it.

Do You Really Believe?
1 John 5:9-13 (Part of the Does He Abide Within? series).
There are people that have are witnesses. If a person told you that you are saved, you likely were never saved. Man will never have the witness to save another's soul. It doesn't matter your church membership, attendance, works or how much you love. We should study to know what the truth is. When you get born again, there is a change that's made and a witness that's shown outwardly. You can't substitute it with knowledge or church attendance. Feelings alone doesn't prove salvation. Goosebumps are not proof of a saved soul. We live in a world where people are so confused about being a Christian. If you're truly saved, you WILL bear fruit. If you think for one minute that God loves you so much that you will not go to hell, you're badly mistaken. God does love you but He hates sin, if you do not accept Him, you on your own choice will choose to go to hell. If you refuse to believe in the Son of God, then you are calling Him a liar. You are saying that God never sent His son, Jesus, to earth. Therefore you believe NOT that Jesus Christ is the son of God. During your death you will not have ANY excuse for your lack of salvation. If you reject the record, you're rejecting eternal life. Things that are eternal are not made of things that can be destroyed like paper, plastic, wood or concrete. When you get saved He will give you a record from death to life. He holds that record so that nothing and no one can touch it. If you've got eternal life, what would you trade for it? The world has made salvation too difficult. There are two reasons why John wrote his part. That you may know that you have eternal life. The other is so you will keep believing in Jesus Christ. It will be hard and we will have hardships, but keep believing.

Working for Righteousness
Romans 10:1-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Heaven will be filled with righteousness. The flesh overcomes righteousness. No one feels comfortable saying they are righteous. We need to have a desire to worship God. You can not have righteousness through good works. The power in us of God is the righteousness. In order to have righteousness you must be saved. We all have a problem looking in the mirror and saying we are perfect. Two requirements to have righteousness. One is having been saved. The other is to believe God above everything else having all faith in Him.
Preached by Tommy Boring on April 13, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
Hitch in' A Ride On A Coat Tail
Acts 2:36-38 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There is a lot of things that you can do to fool a person but you will never fool God. One can't get saved on mamaws and papaws salvation. If you are not moved by the Spirit of God then you are either lost or backslid. Don't be misled by a feeling. Acts 7 There is only one thing that can cut an inward man and that's the Holy Ghost. God is the only one that knows how to cut into the secrets of your heart. You can reject God when He calls but you will know when He cuts you. Being unresponsive is a response. No matter how old you are or who you are, if you do it in the Spirit then God will work through you. One can't be saved until they're lost. Man can't tell you that you're lost. Acts 24:24 When God calls you to be saved and your heart begins to tremble, that is the time to be saved, not a later time. Acts 26:21-28
