Lip Service
James 2:14-23 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There's a difference between saying and doing. There are many people that are willing to make the statement that they believe that Jesus is the son of God. On top of that is that there are those that will pat those people on the back and tell them that they are alright with God. Having your name on the church books doesn't give one more faith or make one saved. Some today say it all day long that they believe but nothing to prove it. There is a difference between saying it and doing it. Their are pastors that tell there congregants that all they have to do is simply say it and they'll be saved. "Repeat after me..." We still live in a society that state they're saved but have no true evidence of such. Getting saved is not anything that a preacher does but an operation that is done by Christ Himself. Just because you tell the devil to flee means nothing because it's the Holy Spirit that causes the devils to leave. Not everyone that says Lord, Lord will be in Heaven. Matt 7:22-23, Have we not done wonderful things in your name? Jesus Christ loves you and does not want you to go to Hell. Make sure you're saved! Even the Devils and Satan say they believe in God but as we all now they are ALL destined for Hell. The Holy Spirit MUST reveal unto you that you're lost before you can be saved. You can go thru the motions, say all the right things but if Christ hasn't invited and revealed to you then you're wasting your time and hurting others. James 2:23, Abraham said he believed God. But God tested him and thru his works/faith it was shown that he truly was a "Friend of God". Is you're faith real? Has it stood the test of time? Has it wavered? Is it your faith alone and not someone else's?

A Warning Of Separation
Galatians 5:1-8 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The devil will find every opportunity to slither his way into a persons life. The devil will present sin to you in a way that looks really good. God will punish you if you're not in His will. We are all guilty of doing things that God told us not to do. The altar is NOT for shame but for mercy.
Preached by Cameron Crisp on October 10, 2018 (Wednesday).
Encouraging Patience
Galatians 6:7-10 (Part of the The Need For Christian Duties series).
Seems as if there is a great need for patience. Folks don't seem to want to wait anymore for just about everything. When we plant a garden we plant seeds, those seeds take time to grow. If one is patient then they should receive a great harvest.

There is a reaping whether it be a good harvest or bad. Depending on what is sowed depends on what is reaped. Consequences for sin is a harvest that can never be removed for the rest of ones life. We all have a choice to make whether they will do good or bad. Don't be deceived because the penalty for sin is great. Some of the leaders of our country are deceived. We can make laws and change them to try to make a persons live a certain way but none of these changes will ever lead to goodness. People no longer have the fear of God in their hearts therefore they live a life of worldliness. God holds your very breath and should be reverenced as such. For whatever reason God still has mercy for this country even though most have forgotten who He truly is.

No matter where you go in your life at least one of Gods people will be with you. Don't be deceived by what the world says. Just as in Noah's time, they mocked God and him as he built the ark. In the end, God sent the flood and only saved those that believed In Him, Noah's family.

Now if one plants a seed of corn then one expects a stalk of corn to grow from that seed. Why would anyone expect anything less about the choices of the way they live and sow life or death. There is a difference in knowing that you're doing wrong and continuing and not knowing. To know and do against it is called rebelling.

One can't live like they want to during the week and expect God to be worshipped on Sunday. So we should sow to the Spirit Monday thru Sunday and we will reap what we sow. How many struggle on Mondays to show your happy in your spirit? We should take every opportunity we get to uplift our fellow man especially our brothers and sisters in Christ. But, something holds us back and it's because we are humans and therefore we are sinners. We should fight against the sinful nature of our flesh striving to overcome it to uplift the name of Jesus.

If you act like, dress like, talk like and look like the world, then how is the world supposed to know that you're a Christian?

Seeds don't grow instantly, therefore don't give up. People usually don't come to Jesus instantly, don't give up on them! Keep planting the seeds of love and be patient.

Preached by Tommy Boring on March 11, 2018 (Sunday Evening).
Let Your Heart Be Broken
1 Samuel 4:1-12 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
People today want to put God in their own little box creating their own religion. Some want God to do what they want Him to do. God doesn't work this way as He works in His own accord. Everyone will go thru some sort of sorrow during their life. We shouldn't question Gods works or will. More and more people are turning away from God each and everyday. We must be careful to not let those people to question Gods will and who He is. We as Christians must be strong, study His word to know the differences between the devil and God. We must understand and that God doesn't need us in order to do His will. Therefore once we get ourselves out of His way, His will is done in perfection. One can't win an argument with God, it will always be Gods way. Grief can quickly turn into anger. One must break under God or anger will consume you. Brokenness leads to surrendering and once you've surrendered to Gods will then He will give you great peace. We shouldn't let one person to hold us back from worshipping God. How can you love God if you can't love your fellow man?
Preached by Taylor Walker on February 7, 2018 (Wednesday).
Do You Believe?
John 11:20-26 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We all have an appointed time that we ALL will not pass and that's death. John 3 John speaks of being born again. We usually get caught up in things here that usually do not matter but we never think about the eternity. It's really easy to say, I know who Jesus is. Rom 10:9 One must truly KNOW Jesus in order to know Him. Ask most anyone and they'll claim that there a Christian but there is usually no evidence. People have all kinds of testimonies but there is one thing that should take place and that's Jesus calling your name. One can't hear Jesus until Jesus opens your heart and allows you to know that you're lost. God is not the author of confusion and if you're struggling with possibly being saved, seek God and ask Him about your salvation. We are all going to face death, sickness and struggles. Many times we make salvation hard but it's man that makes it difficult. The simplicity of salvation just believing in Jesus Christ. John 16:29-33 Greater is Who is in you than that, that is in the world. But in order to have Him, you must be born again. Mat 15:13-17 Who do you say who Jesus is Monday thru Saturday? It's life or death! Do you truly KNOW Jesus?
Preached by Jeff Patton on February 22, 2017 (Wednesday).
