Because He Is Worth It
Hebrews 13:7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
|A Christian leader is one that leads by example and by respect. Great Christian leaders that have led by examples is Henry Webb. He lived almost 3.5 miles away from the church and would walk to the church house each and every time the doors were open. He walked thru all kinds of elements because God was worth it to him. A faithful member. The sad truth is that today, most have a problem getting out of bed when it's cold outside even though our vehicles are heated as well as the church. People are watching whether you want them to or not.
Henry Webb's obituary: "Henry Webb was born June 29, 1904, and departed this life Dec. 2, 1989, being 84 years, 5 months, and 3 days of age.
Henry professed faith in Christ and joined the New Providence Primitive Baptist Church on November 9, 1969, and was baptized November 16, 1969.
He was a very faithful member of his church and loved it and the people of the church.
He labored in the building of the New Providence Church both in the first building and in the present building, the church was his life as long as he was able to attend."We should examine ourselves to make sure that what we show to the world is a godly life. God needs leaders in His church. Are you willing to be a leader? Are you able to? You must first be able before you can be a leader.

Blessed Are The Feet
1 Corinthians 1:1-2 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Those that have been called are those that have been called by God to do His will. We should pray for the men of God, preachers. When God calls men, He calls them to His purposes and you shouldn't talk about them. You should be very careful of those that you see or hear on the TV or radio. Not every person is called of God. Do not give the called men of God credit. God is looking for a vessel to pour into so that they will not change what He pours. The devil hates the men of God. He wants to tear up their home and ruin their lives because others are watching and tears down their hope and faith. You should bath your pastors in prayer every opportunity that you have. Even though David knew he was to be the king, he did not touch Saul due to David's reverence to Gods anointment on Saul. When you pray for the pastor, pray more for the function instead of the person. Satan wants to destroy the function of the pastor worse than the pastor himself.

You Must Be Lower To Be Higher
James 4:6-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Anyone and everyone suffers from pride. If pride is what motivates you, then you will surely fall. You should humble yourself towards others and God. There are things that God does hate, pride being one of those. In this day and age, we live in a prideful world. We call good things bad and bad things good just because we've elevated ourselves above God. "I'll do what I want to." Grace is what we need. We are already down because we lie to ourselves because we think we are something. If you are living in rebellion then you are living a prideful life. If you are one of His, saved and a living a prideful life, He WILL chastise you. He doesn't chastise you because He hates you, but He loves you.

Steal Away And Pray
Matthew 6:5-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It pleases God for us to go to Him in prayer. If Jesus went to pray to God alone, then we should pray to God alone. We talk about the failures and troubles in our hearts the most, God said to pray alone about those things. Once you get alone with God, He will reveal things to you. When was the last time you were alone with God? Stop depending in others to pray for you. It's your responsibility to seek God in prayer.

What Are You Willing To Do?
Luke 5:17-26 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Without a vision the people will parish. It's not only about the pastor but the deacons and lay members. You have to live by Christ daily. Are you willing to put your people in a position in order for them to be before the Lord? Our job is not to judge but to bring them in by whatever needs that's necessary. If you are out of worship, you will run and you'll hide. The smallest excuse will place you in the hell just the same as the greatest of sins. Words may not get through to the them but your life that you live can. Mans plans will go to waste but Gods plans will ALWAYS happen.
