Who Is God In Your Life?
Isaiah 45:5-7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
You need to ask yourself why you attend church. Some will say it's because you want to worship God. Do you realize who God really is though? Isa 45:7, we fail a lot of times of knowing just who God is. Who is He in your life? There is a false doctrine that's commonly called the "little god doctrine" which puts God on the same level as us as humans. They believe they can live an upright sinless life and as long as they live that way they can do anything God can do. The bible teaches us that there is no one that's sinless but Jesus Christ Himself. We ALL fall short of the kingdom of God. Jesus Christ was NOT just a man, He was God incarnate. This means that Jesus was sinless and there is none that will ever be like Him. God is all knowing, nothing takes God by surprise. God does not operate on a knee jerk reaction. God knows if you're going to fall away from Him before it ever happens. If you'll stop and think about who God really is then your worship would change. You're view would change from the troubles in your life to the one who truly controls everything in your life. God is not your crutch, He is not your copilot.

It's Up To You
Romans 1:18-25 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
All means all. Each and every person that knows truth and doesn't follow after it will answer for their ungodliness. There is many times the lost seem to have all the fun. They run around acting as if they don't have to answer to anything. The truth of it is their day of judgement is fast approaching for them. Whether you're lost or saved there will be a day that you will recognize that God Himself is real. Do you realize that each and every person has the right to choose whether they will believe or not? Titus 2:11, each and every person knows that if they die where they will go, Heaven or Hell.

The invisible things are clearly seen though they are not is the eternal power of the Godhead. You know they are real. Look around and you can clearly see that God is real because He is the creator. All of His creation has been here since the beginning. The sun stands still while the earth rotates once a day. The earth is also the perfect distance away from the sun. The earth circles the sun once and creates a year. The scientists claim that all of that was simply a mistake and just happened by chance. While looking at Gods creation one will not see His characteristics. His characteristics comes thru knowing Him personally.

When we look at nature the evidence, it's all the same the question is how did it get there. In our schools the children are taught that all of these came to be due to evolution. They've stripped God out and created an imaginary creation claiming to be wise fools.

People will begin putting more faith into their created foolishness and God will allow them to follow their desires. Once again proving that God allows each and every person a choice. God loves each and every person and has never gave up on you. Don't give up on God.

Romans 1:26-31, if one wants to follow their own selfish desires and disobey God, He will allow you to do that. But, Romans 1:32 states that you know what is right and you made the choice not to do it and therefore have cast judgement upon yourself.

Near The Cross
Luke 9:23 (Part of the Revival 2018 series).

How near are you to the cross? God doesn't want you to view the cross from afar. He wants you to be within touching distance.

What do we see when we are near the cross?

  • Supplication Luke 22:40-44, If praying is good enough for our savior then it's good enough for us. If we get close to the cross we will pray like we are suppose to. Prayer is not to inform God something of something. The purpose of prayer is relationship. We pray to work against temptation. Did you know that you won't get to the cross by accident? It's a deliberate decision that's made that you want to get closer. Strength comes near the cross while praying.
  • Submission It no longer about you once you're at the cross. Phil 2:5-8, you've got to be willing to be a nobody. There is a lack of submission in the church today towards God. You're either being a helping hand or a hired hindrance. James 4:6-7, when you submit to God then the devil will leave you alone because he doesn't like the cross.
  • Suffering If you take a stand for God then your suffering will be great but if you're next to the cross things get a whole lot better. Luke 24:25-26, Did Jesus not suffer during His scourging? As He got closer to His cross the suffering got worse.
  • Solitude Jesus was by himself as He got closer to His cross. John 19:25, once there was a multitude as people would seek Him out and at the cross there was only 5. As long as He was feeding the five thousand the people would stick around. But then when He was dying for the sin of the world then the people left Him. When you get close to Jesus your so-called friends will begin to leave but you'll end up with just a few. Those few are usually the ones that are sold out to Jesus just as you. Do you feel like you're not being feed? It's a selfish excuse. It's not about you.
  • Sacrifice We all want something for nothing. Heb 7:26-27, Jesus went to the cross and gave up His life on His own terms, an ultimate sacrifice that only He could do. That sacrifice was for us. Mark 10 speaks of a rich man that simply didn't know the gospel. Jesus explained to him about how to get to heaven. Jesus loved this man throughout their conversation. Jesus told him to basically deny himself and follow Him. But this rich man loved his stuff more than Jesus and couldn't do it. Not we do this same thing everyday but there is a difference and that's Salvation. If we have salvation then we know and should understand what we should do but we choose otherwise. You say you can't come to Sunday school cause it's too early but you'll get up to go to your place of work that's earlier.
  • Success Eph 2:13, Jesus blood covers it all. What Jesus did at the cross was simply enough. Gal 2:20, His death should have been our death. It's about being born again and nothing else.

We've been content for too long. The further you get away from the cross the more heartache you'll have. Christ has NOT given up on you. Come back and reclaim your position near the cross.

All Is Yours
1 Corinthians 3:21-23 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God has promised us a few things and His promises are true. God has called us out from amongst the world to be a different people. God is not limited by anything. He is the creator of ALL things and therefore controls it ALL! When God saves someone they are saved for eternity because that is one of His promises, He doesn't change His mind.

It matters how you live because others are learning by your walk. We should not worship "men" like pastors, priests or great leaders. Preachers are called of God and all have their own calling of how they teach and bring the word whether they are extraordinary or ordinary. The man of God should at all times preach Gods Word and nothing else and if He wavers should be confronted in love according to His word. God is the same God from the hills of Tennessee to Rome!

Not only is the men of God that preach His word are ours, but the world also. This means anything in this world can be used by Him to make us better and work us to His will. The devil will come to you and offer you the world for your love for him but Satan doesn't have that authority. Satan could offer you the keys to Fort Knox but that would be for your own benefit. God doesn't need the gold or all the cash in this world.

People worry too much about life because it's unknown. If we knew life then we would worry more because of the known end and struggles thru it. When one wakes up and realizes they have to go to work yet again, stop and thank God for being able to do so instead of complaining.

Death is also ours that is of Christ's. This is because He has defeated death and it has no hold on His children. The only thing that will happen at the end of our life is that God will take us by the hand and lead us to His Glory.

The present is also ours if we are Christ's. What do you really need from this world? God has complete control over it all and therefore is ours. This is Gods "Will" that He wrote for us all that are His because we are His children. Just like the present is ours, the future is also ours. We can not fathom what the future holds.

The reason that all of these things are simply answered because we are Christ's and He is Gods.

John 10:28-29 sums it all up in a very simple verse.

Christ is ALL
Colossians 2:6-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Daniel prophesied that Jesus would come and in Luke the prophecy came true. Mat 28:18 Christ is all powerful and He has been given the power from God. Col 3:10-11 Christ is all in all. Col 1:15-18 Take note of how many times "all" is used. Eph 1:22-23 Christ is all in all and if you do not have Christ then the opposite of all is nothing. In the first chapter of Genesis it plainly states that in the beginning there was nothing but God created ALL things, therefore Christ is over ALL things. Christ alone is God so there can't be any other god. John 17:1-2 He's not only over all things but also all flesh. So is there anything that Christ is NOT over? Does He have power over Satan? God didn't create evil, the being that He created choose to be evil therefore creating evil. God didn't create beings to be mindless but to have the ability to choose. This means that it's either life or death that one must choose from. After death there is a place that everyone will go upon their choice, it's either Heaven or Hell. With Christ it's either all or nothing therefore there is no middle ground. Why does people hate Christianity, because it declares only one way to salvation. Christ even holds the dominion of which Satan will be forever cast by Christ alone. John 5:22-23, Rom 14:8-9 He is a persons all in all. One can't have Christ and yet live for the devil. Christ can't live in ones heart and the heart yearn for worldly, devilish wants.

If you reject Christ, then you've rejected it ALL. When He speaks to your heart then that is the time that you can't be saved. Only Christ can save you. Only Christ can set you free.
