What Do You Do With Christ?
Matthew 11:20-24 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Are you affected by Christ, the Word of God? Do you actively ask folks if they've been saved? Our world that we live in today is just as sinful as it was in Sodom's time. Sin is sin no matter the type whether it be murder, homosexuality or a lie. Conflict is a problem that causes us to see for a remedy or a solution. Make sure you're living your serving God and doing His will. We don't have to be a rich person, works do not help and who you're related to in order to be saved. Never forget who saved you. Never forget where you were pulled from and saved from. We know that the world is quickly falling away from Christ but don't be discouraged. We also know that this has to happen prior to the second coming of Christ. It also means that we as Christians should not stop working for Christ. We should not look at others and feel as if they get away with everything. God will judge them just the same as you. If you think that you are only hurting yourself or its my life, you're wrong. Your body is a temple and God lives inside the temple therefore you're destroying God Himself. Jesus did die for everyone but not for all, only the ones that would accept Him as their personal savior. America today has so many idols that they quickly become bored. Children quickly become bored when they obviously have many, many things to do. Do you feel like you can't share your salvation? That lost person that you hate is so loved by Christ. The least you could do for that person is to share Jesus Christ with them. Jesus is a conflict and always has been.
Preached by Steve Howard on June 1, 2016 (Wednesday).
You're Called to be a Saint. Are You Acting Like It?
Romans 1:1-7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God has called everyone of us to be saints. It's important that a person do what they've been called to do. What do you think about when you hear the word, Saint? Did you know that if you've been born again you've got the ability to be a saint? 2 Corinthians 6:16-18 it requires us to make a choice to not be unclean, sinful. We should be holy because God is holy. Philippians 3:10-14 Press forward! Forget your past and strive for the future. If you don't have something inside you that tells you that you've fallen short, you must question your salvation. We look at saints being older, wiser and godly. Can a small child look up to you and call you a saint for God? You can tell your children all day long about Jesus but if you don't act like it or live your life like it, then it doesn't mean anything at all.
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on January 13, 2016 (Wednesday).
The Advocate
1 John 2:1-2 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We are all sinners, when we sin we break the law of the Ten Commandments. We will all be judged for the sins that we commit. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse for innocents. Whether you have a written bible or not, God put the law in your heart. You from right and wrong. If you do sin you have someone to plea on your behalf. If you do not have Christ in your life, then you do NOT have an advocate to plea your case before God. Jesus is the only one that can stand in the gap because He is righteous. If you are lost, then God only sees you. If you are saved, then God sees His Son and His Son pleads His case and that you are His.
Preached by Tommy Boring on February 20, 2013 (Wednesday).
