We Are All Zacchaeus’
Luke 19:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Jesus did not come to feed 1000 of people with fish, He did not come to make the blind to see, heal the lepers or raise the dead. He came to save the lost. He did those things to prove who He was and to show compassion. When you attend church it’s not to just have fellowship but to pray for the lost and to see them saved. Sunday school teachers study to help lead the lost to Christ. We see Zacchaeus and his story that it was a personal thing. Jesus called him out by name. Just as today, Jesus will call you by name inviting you to salvation. When you serve the Lord it’s a personal thing. The Lamb’s Book of Life doesn’t have the born again believers listed under one big group. Each person is listed by their name individually. We are all sinners, the difference is if Christ has called your name and you accepted Him as your savior. One can’t save themselves therefore one can’t keep their salvation. Salvation is given by Christ and He has promised He will never pull that away from the saved. Jesus knew Zacchaeus more than Zacchaeus knew himself. Luke 2:11, Christ knew why He came and He came because the world had no hope. The lost don’t come to church unless we the people invite them. They are not looking for Christ. Do what ever it takes to bring in the lost.

Too Hard For God
Jeremiah 32:26-27 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Is God capable of doing anything? Do you think God can help you with your trials and tribulations? We struggle with having the faith as small as a mustard seed. Do you think God knows what you're going through. When you get to your lowest, God is about to lift you up. Everything that we do is of God, a reflection. Isaiah 51:1-2 Why are our churches not growing? It's because of us. Mark 6:4-6 Our lack of faith and unbelief is what quenches the Spirit of God.
Preached by Jeff Patton on March 9, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
Supporting The Called Man Of God
Acts 20:22-28 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Are you warning others of their eternal death? The office of the pastor should be prayed over for support and strength. Pastors should take time out of their life to study the Word. Some will take the call of their family to preach the Word. Preaching is rightfully dividing the Word. Supporting the pastor starts with listening to what he is preaching. The sower is the messenger, preacher of the Word, the seed is the Word and the ground is us. If one is working for God, then they WILL be offensive because the Word is sharper than a two edged sword. Preaching isn't a hobby, it's a life. Being a pastor isn't a person called duty, it's God called. The pastor needs a church just as much as the church needs the pastor. If the pastor is the messenger of God, should we not respect him? If one does not respect the pastor, then they've disrespected God. God doesn't call the enabled, He enables the called.

Are You "Familiar" With Christ? (Part 1 of 2)
Mark 6:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
If you're born again then you should know Jesus. You may think you might know what Jesus will do. A lot of time we think we've got it all figured out. We've got a great mission to take the Word to the community. We question why God doesn't do what we ask, it's because we are not obedient. You say you know Jesus, serve Him! He paid a sacrifice for all of us, therefore we should be thankful. Are you hindering the power of God? Do you believe He can do all things?
Preached by Jeff Patton on February 24, 2013 (Sunday Evening).
Who's At The Top?
Genesis 1:26-28 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
People want to twist and call God just our friend. God controls and created it all. Who are we to say that God didn't do those things? People will worship the creation and not the creator. There is only one way, you can't work your way in or worship other gods. No one can imagine how great God is. Do you fear your judgement? If Christians come together as one, we can accomplish all things.
Preached by Jeff Patton on January 27, 2013 (Sunday Evening).
