Would You Trade What You’ve Got? (Mark 8:34-38)

Harrison Hill, February 9, 2020
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

God has a perfect plan for your life but we choose the wrong ways a lot of times. When God gives you the opportunity to be saved, don’t chose another options. Take His invitation and accept Him as your savior. We are poor and undone but God that owns and creates everything gives us all things, 2 Cor 8:9. One can’t earn what God can give and one can’t work to get what God gives.
John 16:20, it’s hard to see joy in people anymore. Being saved means that God has taken all of the sorrows and turned them into joy. A born again believer should be the happiest persons.
God gives you peace beyond understanding. One can’t buy peace, John 14:27.

Mark 8:34-38

34And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
