Bare Record of Jesus (Luke 1:9-17)

Tommy BoringTommy Boring, October 28, 2015
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Wednesday service

What God says will come to pass. We are around people everyday that hear false prophecy. One must be saved in order to understand the grace of God. The message is still the same, repent. God still to this day speaks thru men. Just as Elijah lived in the wilderness and was feed by God, John the Baptist also lived in the wilderness and was feed by God. Mat 11:13-14 Everything in the bible is breathed by God up until John. When Jesus was born, God put earthly flesh on to walk amongst the people. Mat 17:10-13 John the Baptist was the one prophecies about to be sent in place of Elijah. Moses, Elijah and Jesus spent 40 days in a wilderness. After the church goes home at rapture, 7 years later Jesus will come at His second coming. There will be two witnesses sent to earth, those witnesses have the power to kill any that come against them. They shall be killed and will lie in the streets for all to see for three days. Then they shall receive life again.

Luke 1:9-17

9According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. 10And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense. 11And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. 14And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. 16And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. 17And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
