Made Ready (Mark 14:12-15)

Ricky BoringRicky Boring, June 7, 2014
Part of the Communion Services series, preached at a Communion service

All we had to do is to accept Him into our hearts. He made us ready. There is a great blessing to look back and remember those that have gone on and how they stood for God. A lot of people haven't dug down into solid the Rock and therefore are being washed away. The devil will pull the weak Christians away from God. We need to be humble before God and others. We are to love each other great and small. There are still people in this world that do not believe that there is a God. There are a lot of good people in this world that would do anything for another but do not know Christ. God loves all of us because He created us in His own image. Back in the old testaments a blood sacrifices had to be made for the forgiveness of ones sins. Jesus then came to fulfill the sacrifices for ALL by giving His blood. Jesus' for message was simply, repent, but since that time there has been so many messages preached that everyone in the world should be saved. What does it take to be saved, ready? It takes the same thing for everyone. It takes you to be ready, willing to open your heart and accept Jesus.

Mark 14:12-15

12And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover? 13And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him. 14And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 15And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
