No Matter What!
Romans 8:31-39 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
This world is full of tribulations. Peril is peril, whether it be death, depression, joblessness. No matter what we go thru, God is still in control. If one watches the news it’s really easy to get your mind off of God. Those that are saved, there is nothing to worry about, nothing to fear. So how do we know God is in control? Start in the beginning in Genesis and read to Revelation. It’s full of God saying He’s with us. If we build our house on the rock (born again), then when the storms come He will protect us. The birds do not want for food, the lilies they simply grow and do not worry. If God takes care of them, why wouldn’t He take care of you? Many of times we like to get out in front of God and act like we know what’s going on. Then when things go wild we then look back at God and ask Him, Why? If it wasn’t for the death of Christ and Him rising again then we wasted it all. Now Christ did wonderful things during His life walking on earth but if He didn’t sacrifice himself and rise again then it would’ve been a waste. We the saved WILL face trouble, sickness, death, problems with work, with our money, everything. We are NOT living in our permanent resident down here on earth. Now in Romans. If God is for us then who in this world could be against us. Did you know that it doesn’t matter what you do, you can’t loose your salvation. Nothing can separate you from the love of God! In Romans we see a question and it’s there for a purpose. Ask yourself, what CAN take away the love of God?? Yet another question, If God loved us so much to give us His ONLY son then why do you worry about your life? Now the word, elect it’s talking about God’s chosen people. God chose to die for your sins, He then chose to ask you to be saved. There isn’t anyone that can change that election. God created everything and if He chose to die for you, then who is anyone to say anything differently. It’s by HIS blood that we are able to go into the thrown room of God and bring our problems to Him. Don’t we all have problems and troubles? Take them to the Lord, He told us to! You have one on your side. Don’t ever think that no one is for you! Satan is completely against you and wants you destroyed BUT GOD loves you and wants you to live a life of fullness. God will never leave you or forsake you! What are you facing today? Your problems are not going to be the same as your neighbors. We all go thru our own problems and feelings. But, there is nothing you’re going to go thru that God can’t fix. No matter what you face today, He’s got it. There are many people that are scared. Many people think we should be in a panic but remember, God said not to fear. Those things that are in the world, all they are going to do is cause more problems. The bar, the alcohol, the drugs, the pornography, etc. Those things will only bring more destruction and ultimately lead to death. Whether it’s death of life or death of friends or family. In the story of Jesus in the boat and the storm was raging. They asked him if He didn’t care about them and He did! He cares today! he cared so much that He sacrificed His only son, was beat beyond recognition. Romans 8:38-39 pretty much takes care of anything that can ever come against a person in their lifetime. There is nothing that anyone can door could have done to deserve Gods love. We can go back time and time again to all those, “do you remember when” times and those will continue to happen. But, by putting your faith in Jesus Christ those times are nothing but growth spurts in our life down here.

We Are All Zacchaeus’
Luke 19:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Jesus did not come to feed 1000 of people with fish, He did not come to make the blind to see, heal the lepers or raise the dead. He came to save the lost. He did those things to prove who He was and to show compassion. When you attend church it’s not to just have fellowship but to pray for the lost and to see them saved. Sunday school teachers study to help lead the lost to Christ. We see Zacchaeus and his story that it was a personal thing. Jesus called him out by name. Just as today, Jesus will call you by name inviting you to salvation. When you serve the Lord it’s a personal thing. The Lamb’s Book of Life doesn’t have the born again believers listed under one big group. Each person is listed by their name individually. We are all sinners, the difference is if Christ has called your name and you accepted Him as your savior. One can’t save themselves therefore one can’t keep their salvation. Salvation is given by Christ and He has promised He will never pull that away from the saved. Jesus knew Zacchaeus more than Zacchaeus knew himself. Luke 2:11, Christ knew why He came and He came because the world had no hope. The lost don’t come to church unless we the people invite them. They are not looking for Christ. Do what ever it takes to bring in the lost.

Give Thanks For Everything
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The Bible doesn’t say to just give thanks when it’s going good. We are we not thankful as Christians? As Christians we know we are going to have problems whether we like that or not. God doesn’t look at Christians and say that since they follow Christ they should have it easy. Christians must suffer for Christ. We can’t see what God is doing and likewise His thoughts. Have you ever acted spoiled, thought why you don’t have what others have or get? We all deserve to be in Hell. Everything we have is from God, even that job we hate to go to. We are not thankful enough to God. One can’t just name it and claim it. This religion is false and goes entity against the Word of God. If it was true then not a single person would have to suffer because who doesn’t want to suffer? If it was based upon simply just being a Christian then everyone would want to be saved just because they would have the best in town, cause who wouldn’t want that best? You know yourself better than anyone else. You know how selfish, greedy and lustful you really are. We all suffer with our flesh every second of the day. God isn’t a respecter of persons and therefore doesn’t give because He loves more or likes one more than another. Matthew 20. In this story we read that those that just showed up deserved to also have. We are also like this. We think that just because we showed up to church, gave a little more in the offering, gave some time to feed the homeless. That not how salvation works or being a Christian works at all. The person on death row that gets saved prior to death gets the same treatment as the preacher that led many to salvation. Just because we sin doesn’t mean that God stops loving us. We will be chastised but this is because He loves us, not because of hate. Gods will is that no person should perish but be saved and live forever. A huge step back for us to to simply deny yourselves and let God drive and control your life. He’s in control of it anyway, so just let go and let God be God. Whether we want Him to control our lives or not, He’s STILL in control. We should be thankful that we didn’t get everything that we think we deserved. It’s Gods will that we worship Him and honor Him. Thank God you didn’t get that promotion at work because it may have led you to be away from Him due to traveling. We ask amiss. All things, ALL things work towards to the goodness of God for those that love Him and do for Him. Be thankful in ALL things. When you pray do you ask a lot of “me” stuff?

Getting Back To Basics
2 Timothy 3:10-17 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We've all been called into the ministry whether it be a preacher to a song leader to a praying individual. All scripture is given by the inspiration of God. The end of all arguments starts and ends with the Word of God. We hear a lot about doctrine right now. We label everything from churches to books and hymnals. The first label that should be applied is, Christian. If you say that the spirit witnessed with you, it doesn't matter what you say if it doesn't line up with the Word of God. Some will say that the bible is hard to read, understand. That statement is true but we do not read the Sunday paper, it's an instruction manual from God Himself. All scripture is of God, not just the pieces that we like and then dismiss the parts that we don't like. Some doctrines will tell you that as long as you believe and follow God then you'll be blessed with all these wonderful things. However, the bible clearly states in 2 Tim 3:12 that if you live for Christ you will go thru problems, persecution. We should study the Word daily, reading it, meditating on it and memorizing it. People are looking for answers all over the place, so we should have an answer for them from God to help them. Many folks that's been saved for many years are still babes, still on the milk when it comes to their spiritual growth. At times when we study and read the bible the things that we read might hurt us like getting a spanked. Those things do hurt and they are there for reproof and not to ignore. During readIng the bible it will bring us to correction at times. Once correction is made we should repent. Your Sunday school teacher is probably a hypocrite just like the rest of us but that doesn't make it right. We will all fail at some point and tell someone to live this way but we will live the opposite. The devil will come between Christians and try to cause conflict with anything and it seems that a lot of it currently is about doctrine. In the end, the doctrine is good but Jesus is more important. The focus should be about Jesus and Him crucified. We get caught up in the happiness of the world and fail to see the goodness of the end reward.

Do You Believe?
John 11:20-26 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We all have an appointed time that we ALL will not pass and that's death. John 3 John speaks of being born again. We usually get caught up in things here that usually do not matter but we never think about the eternity. It's really easy to say, I know who Jesus is. Rom 10:9 One must truly KNOW Jesus in order to know Him. Ask most anyone and they'll claim that there a Christian but there is usually no evidence. People have all kinds of testimonies but there is one thing that should take place and that's Jesus calling your name. One can't hear Jesus until Jesus opens your heart and allows you to know that you're lost. God is not the author of confusion and if you're struggling with possibly being saved, seek God and ask Him about your salvation. We are all going to face death, sickness and struggles. Many times we make salvation hard but it's man that makes it difficult. The simplicity of salvation just believing in Jesus Christ. John 16:29-33 Greater is Who is in you than that, that is in the world. But in order to have Him, you must be born again. Mat 15:13-17 Who do you say who Jesus is Monday thru Saturday? It's life or death! Do you truly KNOW Jesus?
