The Sacred Communion
John 6:44-58 (Part of the Communion Services series).
All the physical pain that Jesus Christ went through was nothing compared to the separation between Him and His Father. Communion is a Holy right and should not be taken lightly. Only the saved should take part in the communion as those without salvation will be judged. If you have sin or an ought between you and someone else, you should repent of it prior to the communion service. God wants to commune with us but sin keeps Him from doing so. Jesus came down from Heaven being equal with God to perform an act lower than a slave. He washed His disciples feet humbling Himself to show His love towards them.
Preached by Matthew Adams on June 4, 2016 (Communion).
Don't Get Comfortable
Revelation 3:14-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God is the one that deserves all the honor and glory because He is the provider of all things. We get prideful and comfortable in ourselves and slowly stop relying on God. The things we accumulate in this life, money, goods and works will burn up in the end of time. One can't live one way and expect another so when you are teetering between Gods way and the worlds way God will not bless. God blesses us with things to bless others, not to fill our lives with things. So when God blesses with an abundance of food we are not to eat until we can't move. We are to share that food with others. Just the same with money, we are not to be selfish with our money and use it only for ourselves. Bless others by showing them that God loved you, therefore we love them. Someone that is prideful will not humble themselves to others or to God. When was the last time you repented, humbled yourself before God? God is always there and all we have to do is ask Him. It doesn't matter who you are or what you think, there will come a day that you WILL bow before Jesus Christ and worship Him. Whether you want to believe in Him or not in this life, you WILL at your death.
Preached by Matthew Adams on March 16, 2016 (Wednesday).
Will You Be Made Whole?
John 5:1-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When you look around you'll see people that are sick and troubled with the worlds problems but they don't have to be that way. There is no happiness in this world without God. There is victory in Christ because in the end He is the winner. Phil 2:9-11 It doesn't matter who you are we will all be equal in front of God in the end. In the end, the world will be destroyed, burnt up with high heat. Why would you want to go after the worldly things? You must obey in order to be blessed.
Preached by Matthew Adams on October 25, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
The Word
John 1:1-14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Jesus was with God from the very beginning. When Jesus came to earth He did away with the old law. There is but only one way to get into heaven and that's thru Jesus Christ. It's not about rules, religions or rituals. Christians will get a bad rep from the world. Everyday is a struggle to live sinless. If we don't stay close to God and His Word then we will slowing begin to drift away from Him. We should now our bibles inside and out and not rely on the preacher to give it to us. A many preachers have been known to misquote the bible and the devil can use that to cause you to drift away. One can't walk thru this world with getting some sort of filth/sin on oneself. But how many times to you ask to be cleaned? How many bibles do you own? How often to you read from just one of them? How many times do you apply what you've read from the bible to your life? There is not a thing in this world that was NOT created by God.
Preached by Matthew Adams on August 5, 2015 (Wednesday).
Endurance
Matthew 24:1-14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Being a Christian is not a sprint, it is a cross country marathon. The world that we live in now is the last days. Christians are being persecuted, murdered, beheaded. The Word of God is being persecuted. Why? Because people think that they are mightier than God. False prophets telling people what they want to hear, tickling their ears. People want to feel good, they do not want the conviction of sin. A lot have a form of religion but they are not saved. We that are Christians should not sleep or be lazy but endure, keep going, pray, work for Christ. We should know His promises and have the faith and strength to trust in Him to keep those promises. The life that we live can not be against God, our witness matters and can't be false. The race, body will not last forever, it will soon be over. Don't be afraid of your business, job, family or health. God is watching over us and He will protect. If you say you've never denied God, if you haven't followed Gods Word then you've denied Him. Opinions simply do not matter, if it goes against Gods Word, then it's wrong.
Preached by Matthew Adams on April 19, 2015 (Sunday Morning).
