Christ is ALL
Colossians 2:6-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Daniel prophesied that Jesus would come and in Luke the prophecy came true. Mat 28:18 Christ is all powerful and He has been given the power from God. Col 3:10-11 Christ is all in all. Col 1:15-18 Take note of how many times "all" is used. Eph 1:22-23 Christ is all in all and if you do not have Christ then the opposite of all is nothing. In the first chapter of Genesis it plainly states that in the beginning there was nothing but God created ALL things, therefore Christ is over ALL things. Christ alone is God so there can't be any other god. John 17:1-2 He's not only over all things but also all flesh. So is there anything that Christ is NOT over? Does He have power over Satan? God didn't create evil, the being that He created choose to be evil therefore creating evil. God didn't create beings to be mindless but to have the ability to choose. This means that it's either life or death that one must choose from. After death there is a place that everyone will go upon their choice, it's either Heaven or Hell. With Christ it's either all or nothing therefore there is no middle ground. Why does people hate Christianity, because it declares only one way to salvation. Christ even holds the dominion of which Satan will be forever cast by Christ alone. John 5:22-23, Rom 14:8-9 He is a persons all in all. One can't have Christ and yet live for the devil. Christ can't live in ones heart and the heart yearn for worldly, devilish wants.

If you reject Christ, then you've rejected it ALL. When He speaks to your heart then that is the time that you can't be saved. Only Christ can save you. Only Christ can set you free.

Only One Way
Colossians 3:9-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We live as if we can fix or redeem ourselves but there has been only one that can. Christ alone saves. Once ones been born again the old man must die, the old things pass away. One can't continue to live in sin if they are dead to it. The greatest lie ever told is that you've told someone that you've been saved but you're lost. Thru transformation a caterpillar become a butterfly. It could remain a caterpillar but, once it's been transformed into a butterfly it can not go back to a caterpillar. Some people choose to remain a caterpillar, lost. While others are saved and are transformed into a butterfly forever being changed. One can chase after every worldly thing ending up the same as you when you started, empty handed. The church doors are open because it loves the lost, the sinner. One of two things will happen to the sinner, they will either be saved or get left behind. The church will be called to Heaven but the lost will be left behind. The born again will be with Christ but the lost will be in Hell.

Deal With It!
Colossians 3:1-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The truth is the bible whether anyone wants to believe it or not. There are things that we all have problems lining up with. The things that separate us from Christ and the joys that behold Him are worldly and sinful. Col 3:5 We want to excuse ourselves of certain things just because we don't want to deal with those sins. The problem with a living sacrifice is that it keeps squirming and never sits still. We should stop fornicating. Fornication is sex at any measure outside of marriage. Uncleanness is lewd and unclean thoughts and should be repented of. Inordinate affections are vile desires, homosexuality. Evil concupiscence is evil lusts, murder. These four things are fleshly lusts. Covetousness is the lust of the eyes, love of the world. Theses things are often tied to the pride of life, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, and filthy communication. Anger should always be taken care of and not dwelt on. Wrath is similar to anger and is a product of it. Wrath is somewhat you should have dealt with and usually requires forgiveness of the worldly enemy. Wraths revenge is malice. Blasphemy is speaking evil. The tongue is like the rudder of a large ship, it's small but turns the entire ship. Blasphemy and filthy communication is due to the anger, wrath and malice that comes out verbally. Our speech should be the one thing that when others hear it they know it's of Christ. God hates a lie because it's the opposite of truth. One might think, it's just a little white lie. One should be careful because if it doesn't line up with Gods Word, it's wrong whether you think it was little or not. One of the reasons why we should deal with the above sins, Col 3:6 those things are what a lost person does. If you're saved and do those things then you're living in sin and asking for Gods wrath because you're living a hypocrites life. The saved knows the difference between doing those sinful things and living in Gods love. If a person still wants the old stuff, then your lost. When you're saved you no longer desire the sinful nature because you're a new person in Christ.

What Are You After In This World?
Colossians 3:1-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Legalism is bondage as it ties one to something other than God. The first thing that came to Adam and Eve was sin and then death. We are not able to keep the law of the old testaments. There were over 600 laws back before Jesus came. Are you born again? If so, then you should seek those things that are of God. It's easier said than done when we should work for the things not of this world. Ask yourself this question, is there anything in your life that's greater than Jesus? The only time you'll seek after something is when you love it more than something else. The saved should desire heavenly things over the earthly. In most every church you find most are then same when it comes to workers. There is a very small percentage that actually work because they are the only ones sold out to Christ. There are three reasons why we seek after God. The first, we are dead to the world. What can a dead person do? We chase everything in the world like its the greatest thing ever to come. Rom 6:1-2 How can a born again believer chase after something that's dead? The second thing is that we are hid in Christ. This means the saved is secured in Christ. The third is when Jesus comes back we will be with Him. Shouldn't it be important that we be doing His work when we are called to glory? A Christian will regret not doing His work from the past.

Get it While the Gettin's Good
Colossians 1:12-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Man has nothing to do with salvation. Many religions have taught that there are many ways to salvation. There is but only one way to salvation and that is through Jesus Christ. All things were created by God, He is the beginning and He is the end. God doesn't just do things by chance, He knows and plans them for purpose. Jesus was born in Bethlehem which means "house of bread". Of all the people in the bible that died and was raised again did it because someone called their name. Jesus however rose from the grave on His own free will. If you do not take Jesus as your savior you will die an eternal death. Just as driving your vehicle, you will make  sure you have enough gas to get to your final destination. Just in your life, make sure you have what you need to get you to your eternal home. Mary, Jesus' mother, was favored of God but, she was human just as the rest of us. Some feel that people just as the pastor or deacons should run the church. Jesus Christ should be the leader of your church. People are bad to follow a church that "believes" what they want to believe and not what the scriptures say. The United States is in the same sinful state that the Romans where in when God destroyed it. There might come a time when you won't know anything around you, but if you're saved, you will NEVER forget it.
