Scripture: Psalm 46:1-2

In our lives we have a lot of storms we could talk about. A lady in the Bible had a storm in her life. For 12 years she had a health issue with her blood. She did everything she could think of to take care of her problem. One day she heard that Jesus was passing through her area and she made her way there, weak and feeble. She simply touched the hem of his garment and was instantly healed.

We have many storms, spiritually and physically.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had a storm blowing their way. Just as the woman, they made their mind up that regardless of their situation they would not worship a false god. The fire was so hot that it killed the men that put them in it. They fell into the flames and just walked around. No hair was singed, no longer bound, no smoke smell, and were walking around worshiping God.

Down in the valley is where our faith gets its exercise. The disciples with Jesus in the boat while a storm blew in. The storm was so strong that the water was about to sink the it. All the while, Jesus slept. The disciples thought He didn’t care so they went to Him. Jesus awoke and told the storm to stop, and it stopped. Jesus is always there.

There are storms for the lost just the same but the lost have no help in their time of need. They have no one to call upon other than people and those people are not always there like Jesus is.

The world hates Jesus and His church. They will persecute the church. How will you handle it? God’s grace is sufficient and He will never forsake.
