Scripture: Matthew 5:1-12

Each time that Jesus spoke, it was true lay important. Truth is, most didn’t hear Him and still don’t.

When you think of being blessed are you stating those things that are carnal? A lost person or person that hates God still eats and lives their life with earthly goods. Being blessed should be about what God can only do and give, the spiritual things.

The definition of blessed, when one is completely satisfied and then joy comes. When Jesus says blessed He is saying something more than just what you have. A joy that comes from within even when one is poor and has nothing worth anything.

Matthew 5:6
If one is saved then they have the righteousness that God gave them.
Righteousness excludes mankind. The only one that is righteous is God Himself.

People don’t like to attend church because they are uncomfortable. God pricks the heart and points out their sins to which they do not like. They don’t hunger for God enough to take care of those sins and repent of them.

Hungering after God should be just the same as hungering for food and water. It refresh, fulfill, and satisfy. The problem with staying refresh and fulfilled is the sins of the world. The sins of the world are just junk food to the flesh. One can’t love this world and love God too. You will love one and hate the other. How many have quit something because you got hungry? Whatever it was that you were in the middle of, you stopped because your stomach growled. Your soul also hungers but how many times have you stopped something in order to feed it?
