Scripture: Hebrews 2:5-10

The church of today is made up of the body, the Christian, and the head, Jesus Christ. The church doesn’t have angels ruling them. What leads the church is the God-head, Jesus Christ. Some spend their time seeking out which angel will lead them next.

Jesus is the light and in Him, there is no darkness. Jesus was made a little lower than the angels. He is divine in nature. He is the beginning and the end. He is the son of God. The father, son, and the Holy Spirit are one and the same. Before the beginning of time, it was decided that Jesus Christ would come to Earth to become the perfect sacrifice for our sins. We have all been made a little lower than the angels. They are supernatural. They can fly, can be invisible, etc. People have made a mockery of angels by saying things like when momma died she got her wings and is flying around in Heaven. Momma’s not an angel and will never be one. God had to make Jesus a little lower than the angels because He had to become flesh to be born into this world. Jesus left Heaven to become flesh just to become a sacrifice for our sins.

Jesus was born not through the seed of man but an immaculate birth.
For the most part, humans are smarter than anything else on Earth. They are to rule over everything on Earth.
Jesus was a human just like each one of us but Jesus had power that no one else has or will ever have. A woman that simply touch the hem of His garment was made whole. Jesus was given all power over Heaven and Earth. A blind man begging on the side of the road was able to see Jesus. A great multitude of people was gathered and was hungry. Jesus blessed a few fish and bread and fed everyone beyond their bellies. Shortly after Jesus was in a boat during a storm while on the sea. Jesus stepped out and told the elements of the Earth to be still, and it obeyed. A funeral was taking place and a widower was burning her only son. Jesus witnessed this and had compassion for them and raised her son from death. He has dominion over death. A fig tree wasn’t bearing fruit so Jesus cursed. Just a short time later the tree was dead. Nature obeys His voice. Jesus didn’t say much at all during His sacrifice. While being beaten practically to death and beyond recognition, He never spoke a word. While carrying His cross to the top of a hill He never made a sound. While they stripped Him naked and nailed His feet and hands to the cross, He never made a sound. While hanging on the cross not many words did He speak but what He said was everything. During all of these events if it were us we would be speaking and yelling out in anger. Because Jesus was made lower than the angels He was able to die. He gave up the ghost and died for all of us. They took His body, there had to be a body, and they anointed it like any other person. They laid Him in a brand new tomb and because the Romans were afraid someone would steal Him they sealed the thumb with a huge large rock. In three days they went back to the tomb and they saw angels. The angels knew exactly who they were looking for and told them that He was not there. There is only one Jesus Christ. There will never be another Jesus Christ. God has given Him a name above every name. That at the name of Jesus that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Jesus Christ is NOT just a man. If Jesus is just a man then He is a sinner. He became flesh and God crowned Him with honor and glory. If you know Jesus as just another person, then you’ll miss Heaven. The only savior that will ever be is Jesus Christ.
