Lack of Courage

Bible Passage: Ephesians 6:10

It takes something on the inside to be able to be strong and have courage. There are so many that are listening to the wicked one that causes doubt and fear. If that’s you, you will never be strong and have great courage. How many of you are strong and have great courage? You will never pick up those things that help and protect you in the battle if you’re listening to the devil. We do not war against flesh and blood, the physical. We take our battles with the spiritual, the things that can’t be seen with the eyes. The strength of God is not of wealth or what you’re capable of. It’s in the ability to allow God to work through you by being in fellowship with God. Faith is what produces the courage and strength that we need. We should be honest before the Lord about our faith.

Many people have gladly given their lives for our country. There was a cause that bellowed up within their heart that caused them to make a sacrifice for something they loved. If the Christian people would have the love for their God as those men and women that fought for their country we would see things change. We are in a time that we should be strong and be of great courage.

David was a man after God’s heart. The great giants of the Philistines would come to torment the people yet David wouldn’t have it. He stood his ground but did it by standing on God’s rock. We need the spirit of David that will go into battle for God. God has never lost a battle, never backed down, or has ever been out of control.

How many times do you pick up your bible and read it through the week? Yet you wonder why the church seems to have no power. The power of the church isn’t there because the people of God don’t want it. The enemy knows that if he can keep them out of church then they will not be fed. We can’t even tell the devil to leave our house when he walks in. Each time the devil knocks on the door we become the biggest cowards.
