The Perfect Love of God
1 John 4:11-21 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Gods love allows one to be awake each morning. People are scared of a lot of things. Torment is a type of fear. Being tormented is a case of worry and can cause lack of sleep. Some fears of life is being alone. If one was left alone for sometime they would begin to go crazy. The truth of life though is that You're never alone. God is always there and always will be. Our love as a human is not perfect but conditional. We love because of but God loves in spite of. We all have a fear of failure. The little voice in our head is always telling us we can't do something because we are not good at it. But with God all things done thru Him are perfect. 1 John 2:2; means that if we are walking with God that when we do fail He will take of it. Most everyone are afraid of death. The fear of death is something we have no control of and those things most fears. The perfect love of God casts out the fear of death. Once we die with Christ we will live forever with Christ. If death finds you while you're lost then an eternal Hell, fire and torment will be your forever home. What are you afraid of?
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on November 14, 2018 (Wednesday).
Something's Missing
Luke 15:11-14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
A lot of us want things that we think we are owed. We were owed death and hell but God seen otherwise. Some of us question Gods word for us and think we know better. There is a place in your heart that needs filled and during your life you'll try to put things in that hole to try to fill it. Nothing in this world will ever fill that void. Jesus is the ONLY thing that's able to fill that void and He will never leave that void once it's filled with Him. Repeating a prayer, having a prayer prayed over you by the pastor or having your name on a church membership doesn't make you saved or fill that void. If you think you've struck a deal with God that gives you the ability to do what you want (sin) then you've been badly mistaken. You're in the wrong. God has a plan for everyone, it's just a matter of accepting His call in your life. If you avoid His call, He will try to get your attention. Sometimes it takes a lot, sometimes it takes very little to grab your attention. A lot of times folks are scared of what you'll have to give up once you turn your life over to God. God will never leave you and if He calls you, He WILL carry you thru whatever He's called you to do. What God has done for us is just beautiful. We ALL fall short of the Holiness of Gods Glory but repentance and forgiveness gets us closer and closer. When you ask for forgiveness and you get that forgiveness, God doesn't hold it over you but in fact gives the feasts of feasts because He loves you.

If there is someone that thinks that Hell is just a big party and not that it of deal, they're completely in the wrong. Hell is to be feared and there will never be a "party" but torments and a fire that will never burn up the flesh and will never cease.

Just Give It To Him
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Got a problem? Stop holding on to it, let God have it. Give it all to Him and don't pick it back up. Trust that He WILL take care of it.

In the Protection of Your House
Haggai 1:1-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Mat 6:33 We should set our house in order. God wants to bless but He will not do that if there is sin in the camp. How many want the house of God to grow? How many are willing to look at the faults of ourselves and are willing to seek to mend them? We should be honest about our sins and willing to remove them, clean them. How many of us try to fulfill our flesh each day? We live in a country where we want our ear tickled, pats us on the back, tells us that we are doing ok, a version of the gospel that says we are ok. People live everyday serving themselves. Are you truly surrendering to Gods will? One can't live for two masters. We as America should turn our eyes from the devil and seek God. Each and every person when they die will lose everything in their fleshly grasp. How far down do you have to go before you realize that God is in control? Think about what you are doing. If you are doing things in the church that's great but if you are lacking love and what God is telling you, then it's just for waste. There are many churches in our country that are beautiful but God doesn't care about that. He wants the spiritual bodies of people to be beautifully built by God and a structure that declares God. If you've been saved, you've been employed to do Gods work and you've also been paid in advance. Psalm 37:35 We have a promise that God will always protect us.

Are You In The Flock?
John 10:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
If you've named something, then it means something to you. God loves us enough to give us a name. He goes before us and fights our battles. The devil at times will make a lot or noise. How often to you allow the devil to scare you away from your blessings? Have you ever thought about the things that God stops before it touches you. Just as a shepherd would stop something from getting his sheep. How do those with Christ make it through the troubles in this life? God gives us that are saved a peace beyond understanding. If you put your faith in anyone else but God, they WILL let you down at some point. Christ laid His life down for you, He will never turn His back on you. Do you worry about things in your life that are out of your hands? Outside of the flock of God, there is NO peace. There is no shepherd to watch out for your safety and give you peace if you are not in the flock.
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on July 23, 2014 (Wednesday).
