Are You Spiritually Impaired? (Part 4) (2 Peter 1:9-11)Tommy Boring, December 9, 2015
Part of the 2 Peter 1 series, preached at a Wednesday service
If you want to know what God's will is for you, you just read it. We should let our light shine. If you're lost, you can let God's light shine thru you. The world is blind to to the will of God. There are Christians that feed upon the world but they will become blind to the spirit. The more you apply the Christian graces the more able you'll be able to see the will of God. When you're close to God you'll be shown what the enemy has in store because God knows what's it's up to. Most backslid Christian can't see that they have been forgiven of their past sins. Once you forget what God has done for you you'll begin to backslide and fall away from God. If you can't see Spiritually and you can't remember the day that you were saved, you need to study if you've ever been saved. Some work so hard at doing things trying to get into heaven by their works but their works will never get them in to heaven. They are basically working their way to hell. If you're salvation is based upon somebody telling you that you've been saved, you need to question your salvation. No one but you and God knows if you've been born again. If you're in a race, you're in it to try to win it. You don't have to be born again to help the homeless, feed the hungry, adopt the orphans, but you must be born again to have the graves of God.
1 Cor 3:15 He was able to get to heaven but he suffered the entire way.
1 Cor 3:14 If you live in the graces you will walk into heaven through a great entrance or welcoming.

2 Peter 1:9-11
9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (KJV)
