Scripture: Matthew 25:14-30

We as Christians are to be doing and working for God. Not to be slothful and just sit. We are to be going outside the walls of the church. It’s easy to work for God inside the church alongside other Christians. We should be testifying to the lost trying to compel them to be saved. We know it’s a better life to be saved because we’ve lived both sides, lost & saved.

God has a work for the Christian. He didn’t just save you to give you His peace, love, and grace. He isn’t going to bless you just because you’re saved. You must work. Work to be closer to God. Work to see others saved. Work to see the church grow. We can’t rely on other Christians, the pastor to grow the church and to help see others saved. A Christian does desire to see others prosper but it’s up to the individual whether you’ll prosper.

“I can’t work for God all the time.” This is a lie from the devil. We allow things of this world to move in on God’s time. When this happens it pushes us away from God. We must choose whether we want blessed or cursed. How do you want your day to go? When you wake do you choose the “poor pitiful me”, life? You’ve stepped in the way of God if you do this. Get prepared, grab your bible, pray up, and take your first step towards God.

There are different talents that God gives out and none are over the other, they are all level to God. The preacher isn’t higher in importance than the lay member. The song leaders or Sunday School teachers are just as important as the bell ringer.

Don’t let the devil steal your joy. If you want to testify to someone, do it. If you want to tell someone to have a blessed day, do it. Children, when they get into trouble oftentimes won’t like their parents for a while. But give them a few minutes and they’ll soon come back loving them. We are God’s children and we are just like children. We do things and get into trouble. When we are caught and punished we don’t like it. We roll around in our own self-pity, pouting because we got into trouble. But once we repent we realize that God truly loves us and that’s the reason He punishes us.

John 15:1-11; We can’t produce our own fruit. We have to be part of the vine in order to produce fruit. We must be bearing fruit but in order to do this we must be saved. If we are saved then the fruit should be growing and if not we should be making sure that we are part of the vine. No fruit means we are not of the vine therefore the branch is dead and will be burned.

If God has never come to you and told you that you are headed to Hell then you’ve never been lost or saved. Just because you want to be saved and have gone through the steps to show the world you are doesn’t mean you have been. If God has never invited you to be saved then you can’t be saved. You can’t do it yourself. God has to invite first then once you have accepted His invitation then you are saved.

Proverbs 13:4, Proverbs 18:9, Proverbs 28:19; Romans 12:11; Hebrews 6:12; Proverbs 6:6-8; You can’t be slow and expect God to be happy with you. Be about God’s business always.
