There are those out there that when they speak we are just amazed on their ability. There is something different when it comes to the word of God. The last message we heard was over the Christians responsibilities. Does anyone really know how to communicate with God? We can try our very best to do so but we fail time and time again.

In our time of today we see that the world is quickly falling apart. All one has to do is look back in history to see that when the world gets bad, God steps in and does something great. If we think about what we know about genealogy we can figure out about how old the earth is. The earth is only about 6000 years old. 4000 years prior to Christ and after Christ only about 2000.

Stop and think about Noah and his life of prayer. He was one man that only saved 8 people in the ark. Those 8 people replenished they earth. Abraham was also another that was a praying man. Thru Christ he saved many of people.

If we get serious about prayer then he will work. He doesn’t have to hear from hundreds of people, He only requires of one. An effectual and fervent prayer of one person. Most of us doubt that our prayers are even going thru or they won’t mean much. What do you think would happen if we as a group of believers got together and prayed? The problem is that our priorities are all out of order. We spend more time watching TV, working, or even eating. Over and over in the Bible we read of where God heard just ONE person and acted on it.

Luke 11:1-10
The importance of prayer is persistence.
In this scripture we see how to pray but Jesus followed it up with a story. A story of a man that went to his friend late at night asking for some bread. This man didn’t give up knocking until he received the bread. The point of the prayer is, don’t stop until you get thru and your prayer is answered.

A lot of times we want to pray for something so we get down and pray and quit. We expect God to do something just because we asked for it. When it doesn’t happen we get discouraged, angry, or just give up. Jesus Himself told us to pray without stopping until we get the answer to that prayer.

If God answered our prayers on the first time each and every time then He would just be our genie in a bottle. We should see Him as a GOD, all powerful, all mighty, all knowing. We should petition Him and be asking Him because we love Him and are humbled before Him. We can’t just snap our fingers and expect God to jump.

1 John 3:22
One has to live right in order for God to hear them.
God will NOT be manipulated into doing something from you.
