Scripture: Isaiah 12:1-6

The first thing you should be doing in your prayer life is speaking out, “Oh, Lord…” and asking for repentance. We are all sinners. All of us! One could wake up and the first thing you say is I’m clean and sin-free, yet it won’t take a second and you’ve sinned. One can’t hide sin from God. He knows all and sees all.

Why don’t people come to church? Do they not want a blessing from God? One can pray all they want but until they repent God will not hear from them. God loves His children and wants to bless them. His blessings will never run dry. Have you ever heard someone say that they had prayed and prayed and prayed for something yet they say they never received an answer? Maybe they should examine themselves to make sure they are clean, and repent of their sins. God will not hear from someone until they’ve asked to be cleaned of their sins.

If you’ve been saved, washed in His blood then you are one of His disciples. He wants you to go out and compel the lost to come in. All we have to do is get them in the door.

Where are you today? If God has told you to speak to someone, clean up, pray up and go.
1 John 1:6-7; The only thing that can help us is God Himself.
1 John 1:8-10; If you are telling yourself that you’re a good person and haven’t done anything bad, then you lie not only to yourself but to God. We have all done something bad and do it all the time. We are all sinners.

If you are praying, don’t give up. Keep praying. Push through. God will not lead you down a wrong path. He might lead you down a path that you might find questionable, but He will go with you. If God has told you to do something or visit with someone, He’s already working on the other end. Just obey!
