Your salvation is not based on anything that is of this world, it’s 100% of Christ. God reconciled man to Himself. The norm is that the person that offends is the one that asks for reconciliation. However, God the sinless came to man, the sinner.

The only way for the sinless sacrifice Jesus had to be born in a sinless matter. This brings forth the virgin birth. Jesus didn’t do just what He wanted to do but of His father’s will. At the time of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ God put the sins of all people on His only son. When Jesus Christ was crucified He took the sins of the people with Him just as a sacrifice does. All that is required to be saved is to simply believe in Jesus Christ. God knew before the beginning of time that He would provide salvation.

So what do we do with being reconciled?

People usually don’t work on being reconciled. We like to keep grudges and hate others because of what we think they’ve done to us in a harmful way. The flesh is like that. When you’re saved your sin debt is wiped clean. God knows what sin is out there and Jesus’ blood can cleanse it. Without Christ, we are and will forever be alienated from God. Christ is the only way to God. God has already done the work to get to Him.

The saved have been made a new creature in Christ.

  1. God has given to us a ministry of reconciliation. He’s given it to all of us. This is one of the gifts that God gives us. We often excuse ourselves from this work. Often we think this is just the preacher’s job or the minister’s job. The simplicity of this ministry is, I wished I could tell the lost how to be saved. We often find ourselves scared or ashamed and tell ourselves we can’t share. All we must do is tell them our testimony and how God saved us.
  2. We also like to say we are not equipped to share however we read that the Word of God has been given to us just for this purpose. We don’t have to come up with anything new, it’s all in the scripture.
