There is a need to repent. We need to have continual repentance.
They repented in Matthew 11:16
The word of God is preached but they will not repent. The gospel message is still, you need to repent. The question is, have you repented? Are you ready to turn from your sin? When you repent, you will turn away from your sin. Fear of God will lead to repentance. Bring your flesh under subjection and reconcile to God. The woman caught in the act of adultery. Upbraid means to rail against; to chide. Jesus upbraided the cities. Jesus was upset and angry. He loves sinners but He hates sin. You allow it to continue to exist while God hates it. When Jesus says/pronounces a woe, it’s not a good thing. You need to repent. They would have repented had they seen the miracles they would have repented. To whom much is given, much is required. If Sodom had the preaching, they would have repented. But then America. There is perversion allowed all while ministries to God are preaching. Sin will creep in especially when we think it’s not me. Probably more preaching in America than any other country.
