Wash-Up Before Worship
Leviticus 16:23-25 (Part of the Tabernacle, Covenant and a Priest series).
Before you can worship, you must repent. When you sin against God then you've trespassed against Him therefore you will not feel from Him.

Animals being sacrificed for the sins, blood flowing from the animals where their bodies were drained. God required afterwards that the priest MUST change their clothes and cleanse himself completely. The priest had to do this before he could worship God.

Some people think that sin is glamorous. They live their life as if nothing matters. In the end, their sin will be to their demise. Gal 3:27, Eph 4:22-24, 2 Cor 5:27 one has to repent in order to be one with Christ. Before one can be saved, God has to remove the sins, be forgiven.

Cor 15 there is a day coming that the mortal body will be removed before we can have a heavenly body. A heavenly body where we won't need to rest, feed or take care of any longer.

Most do not like to repent, saying sorry, admitting they've done something wrong. In order to have life with Christ, then you've got to let go of the old and grab the new.

The Menorah; The Importance Of Light In The Darkness
Exodus 25:31-40 (Part of the Tabernacle, Covenant and a Priest series).
Tabernacle Layout Inside the Holy Place

The Table of Show Bread

The Menorah

Every day the priest would enter into the Holy Place. The table of show bread was ate and the oil and wicks were trimmed. The lamp was representing the tree of life and even Jesus referred to Himself as the vine and branches. Buds represent something is about to happen. A talent of gold is about 75 pounds cost in todays time, $1.25 million. The math on the lamp total is seven, a perfect number for the branches. In order to get into the Holiest of Holies there must be some light. Natural light was not in the Holy Place therefore there had to be a source of light created.

The oil had to be pure oil and had to be beaten, not pressed. Just as Jesus wasn't pressed but He was beaten to make us pure. God could have made the the lamps to never burn out but He required new oil every morning. Just as us, we need fueled every day by Jesus.

Knops being buds, something that had not yet bloomed. At some point a bud will form a flower, then will form a fruit.

Once you're saved, called out of the darkness, a light will forever shine the path to righteousness. Natural light can not illuminate the Word of God, it can not get one to God. Except the light of God draw one, that is the only way. So until you're lost you can't be saved, until you're sick you can't be healed. God is the only one that knows the path because He sees beyond what we can ever seen. While Jesus was in the world He was the light of the world. BUT, He left and and filled us the saved with His light. Without Him leaving there would have been no way for the light to be left inside Christians. Back before Jesus came to earth times were truly dark but when Jesus fulfilled the plan of salvation, He left a light for us to always have. His word is the brightest light that could ever be. In Heaven there is no need for a sun because God Himself is the light that shines. His light shines so bright that there are no shadows in Heaven.

There are times when we will be in dark places. We can not fight them with the flesh but with the spiritual darts provided by Gods Word.

Up in Elim and Down in Marah
Exodus 15:22-27 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When you are first born again you'll quickly find that your life is free but soon thereafter you find that the world is upon you. When we have an unforgiving spirit our focus is no longer on Him but on ourselves. One can't grow in Christ if your drinking bitter water. Gods grace is just as good for you as it is for your enemy. Do you want living water to drink? Just ask for it. Whatever you're facing in your life God is your saving grace. It doesn't matter about the drought that the world might be in spiritually, our God has an unending supply of living water. We need to stop murmuring and remember that God can supply us with life. Stop crying to each other and your pains and troubles, cry out unto the Lord. Humans need water in order live and just as the human, Christians live the Living Water to survive. If you're bitter with someone and think they don't deserve it, all you're doing is creating a gap between you and God. Love on each other as Christ loves us. Romans 7:18-21 - do you think that once you get saved everything is gonna be alright in you're life? No, it's our job as older Christians to uplift the newborn Christians because just as soon as your saved the devil will present them with bitter water. So why don't you enjoy your Christian life anymore? Because it's you and your walk with Christ being week and drinking the bitter waters. Call out to Christ to give you His Living Water.

A Thirst For God
Psalm 42:1-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
John 7:37 In order to thirst for God we must first be without God. The world provides us a drink but it is not quenching. The world no longer thirsts after God. Do you hunger more for God than you do the things of the world? If you don't love God on Monday then you won't love Him on Sunday. The things that the devil gives does not nurture the soul. If you don't love Jesus then everything else will fall apart. If you go to church for any reason other than you love God, then you're going for the wrong reason. When you eat too much of the world you will begin to get full and no longer hunger for God. Because of the abundance of "church" and freedom we've become uncaring and too comfortable to love God. Wednesday night services is the icing on the cake for our worship. Are you gospel hardened? When times get hard and barren, thank God for it. There are some of us that need to be brought down in order for us to see that God is truly all we need. Pray that God makes you thirsty because if you are thirsty you will hunt for God.

Water For The Soul
Isaiah 55:10-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
You can either believe the Word of God or reject it. Our small minds can not comprehend the thoughts of God but, He left us something to read. Everything needs water. The Word of God is like water. A place that doesn't have the Word of God is a dry and thirsty place, it thirsts for water. Once it gets the water it blooms and flourishes. We sometimes want to "help" the Word of God, but it doesn't need helped, it's already alive and will grow once planted. Anything that has life has power. How many use the Word of God as a power source? God knows how to separate the soul from the spirit. If there was a weapon that you could keep and carry with you to keep the evils away, why wouldn't you carry it? God said that if you allow it, He would put His Word in your heart. Sometimes our lives and testimonies are the only Word that they see. There are people that are so thirsty for God, they don't even know that they are thirsty. When you start digging in the Word, you'll find diamonds that will last forever. But you have to dig, study to find them.
