Without a Vision
Nehemiah 1:1-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We live in a time where their are multiple "gods" within our society. Therefore many sit at ease without any thought of anyone else because we have no real persecution for our beliefs. You are only upset and ready to fight when the devil attacks you or your family. Most have no concern for others and what the devil does to them. Where is your passion? Is it in your checkbook, your money? How about where you spend your time? If you can't love your neighbor as yourself then you can't love God. So who is your neighbor? As the bible says, one persons neighbor was their enemy. When was the last time you've asked them about their relationship between them and God? One of our problems is that we mind our own business when it comes to others salvation. Hoe do you know if you don't have a vision, you don't pray before God. Don't give up with praying. When God gives you the answer or the vision, you must do it.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 13, 2015 (Sunday Morning).
Weeping for a Soul
Nehemiah 1:1-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Examine yourself. If you were the only representative for the church of a God, what would they see? Would they see in you a desire for Jesus Christ? We often lose touch living in our concert able lifestyles of those that are dying and of those that are in need. How many of us are truly concerned of those that are lost? Jesus didn't come to make your life easy, heal you or for your pleasure. Those that do not win souls to salvation is foolish. How did we as Christians get so comfortable that we no longer work in the field? We are more concerned about what hurts our feelings, selfish. If the motivation is not about the souls of the lost, then STOP IT. The purpose of the church is to show others salvation and to bring them into salvation. When was the last time that you wept, mourned and fasted for a soul? Does it bother you that you know people, loved ones that are doing to hell? Why wait for God to tell you to go? He has already told you to go with the Great Commission.
Preached by Tommy Boring on October 20, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
Steal Away And Pray
Matthew 6:5-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It pleases God for us to go to Him in prayer. If Jesus went to pray to God alone, then we should pray to God alone. We talk about the failures and troubles in our hearts the most, God said to pray alone about those things. Once you get alone with God, He will reveal things to you. When was the last time you were alone with God? Stop depending in others to pray for you. It's your responsibility to seek God in prayer.
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 3, 2013 (Sunday Evening).
What Is Your Vision For The Church?
Proverbs 29:18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
If you are content in your ways and your surroundings, the people will perish. Do NOT sit back and do nothing. If you are not working in the church, then you are content. A need is different than a want. If you need something, you will do what it takes to get that need fulfilled. Some church people want to put the brakes on when it comes to working in the church. If you are holding the brakes, then you have no vision and are holding the church back. God will continue to move in those that have a vision whether you like it or not.
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on October 14, 2012 (Sunday Evening).
I Know!
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Satan can only take you back so far. God will shine through you in your life if you're one of His. If you don't have a vision, the people will perish. The world will bring you down, but once you graduate, Heaven awaits as your degree.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 23, 2012 (Sunday Evening).
