Everyone Wants To Be Blessed
Psalm 128:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When we talk about being blessed we want to tie it with works. To be blessed you must fear The Lord. The first key to fear God is to reverence Him. The problem today is that people do not fear God. Fear means to honor, reverence and to love. Faith is also a component of the fear of God. God controls your very being, your breath. He gives life and takes life. God wants to bless us all but if we do not fear Him, He will not bless us.if you want to be blessed, then stop doing what YOU want to do and start following what a God has told you to do. Blessings do not come from money. Psalm 119:35 Reverence God to the point that you tell God to MAKE you do it. If you fear God and do what He has asked, He will provide your food and you will be happy and it will be good for you. If you fear God and do what He said, your wife will be blessed and your children will be blessed as well. The church will also be blessed and bless you as well as your community. God will also bless you through the years through your grandchildren.

The Chapter of Lost Things
Luke 15:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Every single person is a sinful sinner. All they had to do to become a sinners is to be born. Without the shedding of blood there will be no salvation. In order for something to be lost, it has to be owned first. There are four common elements to this passage. Each item that was lost were possessed first. The parables is referring to backslid people. How many times have you found yourself following satan instead of God? The next thing is that each item is lost not to be confused with salvation but with missing. All of us that have been saved have all gone astray at some point. The further the parable goes, the stronger and more serious it gets. Being backslid is simply getting off the path and that have lost their way. The third thing about these parables is that the items lost were searched for. The difference between the items lost is that the sheep doesn't have the sense to go back. The coin can't go back on its own. The human has to make a choice to go back. In all cases, the final point is that the owner found the items. We as humans have no idea if a person is saved or not. They can profess to us that they've been saved but they are not possessed by God. Being baptized will not save you from hell. Another thing that they all have in common is that when the items were found, the owners rejoiced. Being backslid and feeling ashamed doesn't change the value of you and His love towards you.

Water For The Soul
Isaiah 55:10-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
You can either believe the Word of God or reject it. Our small minds can not comprehend the thoughts of God but, He left us something to read. Everything needs water. The Word of God is like water. A place that doesn't have the Word of God is a dry and thirsty place, it thirsts for water. Once it gets the water it blooms and flourishes. We sometimes want to "help" the Word of God, but it doesn't need helped, it's already alive and will grow once planted. Anything that has life has power. How many use the Word of God as a power source? God knows how to separate the soul from the spirit. If there was a weapon that you could keep and carry with you to keep the evils away, why wouldn't you carry it? God said that if you allow it, He would put His Word in your heart. Sometimes our lives and testimonies are the only Word that they see. There are people that are so thirsty for God, they don't even know that they are thirsty. When you start digging in the Word, you'll find diamonds that will last forever. But you have to dig, study to find them.

The Tree And The Treasure
Luke 6:43-45 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Only God can judge a man. If you're saved there should be evidence of that. If your life is of a sinner then a sinner is what you will reap. Does religion get you down, stop putting your hope in it. God wants people that can bare good fruit. If you're not paying attention the devil will come in and put holes in your testimony. If you are worried about trying to live a certain way, you need to be saved. If you're lost you're lost. You can not produce anything good from a sinful nature. Just because the fruit looks good doesn't mean it's Godly fruit. If you're saved and are saying you can't, stop denying the power of God. A lost man can not produce fruit of that of a saved person. If you are lost, you can never be good until you are saved and God makes you good. The second you've put "I" and "good" in the same sentence, you've messed up. All one has to do to be saved is to accept His treasure. God will put His treasure deep inside your soul and nothing can get to it.
