Donkeys, Elephants and the Lamb
John 14:27 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
In this upcoming election we are at a turning point. No matter who me is elected our confidence is not in the elected president. We as the children of God have one thing that we must do and that's to surrender ourselves to God. It's time that the children of God to wake up! There is not a man or woman that can lead us out of the destruction the devil throws. We as the United States are already headed down a path of destruction. Neither elected presidential candidate can save us from the destruction ahead, only God can save us. We are not the most wicked nation but we are leaving the Rock that keeps us solid. God rules over the land just as He did in the beginning. The battle is not ours but the Lords. God knows every ploy of the enemy. The truth is, is that with every election is a historical election. Romans 13:1 The real power is not the president but God that rules over the presidents and the world. God has a plan to eternity and we only see a small glimpse of that. Romans 3:2-7 We should do right not wrong, murdering people outside of an abortion clinic is not the right thing to do. We should pay the taxes even though we would not agree with them. Don't be afraid or dismayed because our hope is not in the man but in God.

Deal With It!
Colossians 3:1-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The truth is the bible whether anyone wants to believe it or not. There are things that we all have problems lining up with. The things that separate us from Christ and the joys that behold Him are worldly and sinful. Col 3:5 We want to excuse ourselves of certain things just because we don't want to deal with those sins. The problem with a living sacrifice is that it keeps squirming and never sits still. We should stop fornicating. Fornication is sex at any measure outside of marriage. Uncleanness is lewd and unclean thoughts and should be repented of. Inordinate affections are vile desires, homosexuality. Evil concupiscence is evil lusts, murder. These four things are fleshly lusts. Covetousness is the lust of the eyes, love of the world. Theses things are often tied to the pride of life, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, and filthy communication. Anger should always be taken care of and not dwelt on. Wrath is similar to anger and is a product of it. Wrath is somewhat you should have dealt with and usually requires forgiveness of the worldly enemy. Wraths revenge is malice. Blasphemy is speaking evil. The tongue is like the rudder of a large ship, it's small but turns the entire ship. Blasphemy and filthy communication is due to the anger, wrath and malice that comes out verbally. Our speech should be the one thing that when others hear it they know it's of Christ. God hates a lie because it's the opposite of truth. One might think, it's just a little white lie. One should be careful because if it doesn't line up with Gods Word, it's wrong whether you think it was little or not. One of the reasons why we should deal with the above sins, Col 3:6 those things are what a lost person does. If you're saved and do those things then you're living in sin and asking for Gods wrath because you're living a hypocrites life. The saved knows the difference between doing those sinful things and living in Gods love. If a person still wants the old stuff, then your lost. When you're saved you no longer desire the sinful nature because you're a new person in Christ.

Always In Love
Jude 1:17-25 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We live in a time where people call wrong right and the right wrong. God is always in control no matter how hard or easy life is. If you don't the Spirit of Christ then you are lost in darkness. If one lives in a life thinking that it's us against them, then one has missed the mark. A Christian adversary is not against a person or a political agenda, it's a spiritual battle against Satan and his demons. Jesus Christ came to earth to give His body as a sacrifice for ALL sinners. One only has to believe in Him in order to be saved. We as Christians are not in the business of saving the lost. There will be some that will not be saved only by their choice. It's not Gods will that they die lost. The very thing that allowed one to be saved is a Holy Faith. Without faith it's impossible to serve God. No matter what we have to go through down here on earth, Gods love and our Holy faith will bring us through anything. When the time comes when it gets hard we should pray in the Holy Ghost. We should keep ourselves in the love of God. We can't keep ourselves saved, God does that part but we are to keep ourselves as clean as possible. We are to strive to stay with God and not waver, stay in love with God. When one falls in love with someone they surrender to the other and do whatever it takes to stay with them. Some are weak spiritually and we are to help those, love them, have compassion on them. We should know the difference between weak and willful. We should help the weak through compassion to get them stronger in the Lord. None of us are exempt of being weak. Some must hear that God controls their life and if they don't live for God, He will take full control. Jude 1:24, if you've ever wondered if salvation is eternal or can ever be wavering.

Turning Away
Ruth 1:1-7 (Part of the Ruth 1 series).
Some think they can figure it out on their own without the help of God. But, what you sow you shall reap. Some will turn their back on the church for the smallest thing thinking they've made a good decision but, when they turn their back on the church they e turn towards the enemy. If one stays out in sin, there is a price to pay. If one has made a decision to turn their back on God, they've made a choice to take the consequences for their actions. One may think they'll just lay out of church this one time or do this one thing just once but it slowly turns into a long time, a more than once occasion. If a parent raises a child with the sins of the world, you'll raise a child thinking it all right to compromise God's Word. The devil will take everything you've got if you give him a little. Have you ever heard anyone say it was a good idea to turn from God?

Loving the Enemy (Part 1)
2 Peter 3:1-7 (Part of the 2 Peter 3 series).
Some 2000 years later the scripture is still relevant. Be careful not to exclude the old testament from the new. Both old and new are just as relevant today as it was years ago. Those that choose to not believe the bible are scoffers, those that will mock the bible. Those that scoff are prideful in their own belief. They mock sin because they live in their own flesh. They will declare that what God has said is wrong and what they want is good. One of the reasons why people mock God is because no one stands against it. 60-70 years ago there was still a fear of God. So what's the truth? If God is truth then everything is a lie. There can be only one truth. The scoffers will mock salvation because they think they do not need it. The difference between the scoffers and the saved is simply the knowing. The saved were once scoffers. Those that scoff will mock the fact they are being told what to do. God is sovereign, completely in full control and the only way one can be saved. The unsaved will often mock the second coming. The truth is that they are willingly ignorant because they know there is a creation but choose to not believe in a creator. God came before and He WILL come again. He told the world that He would destroy them by flood afterwards giving a promise by a rainbow that He wouldn't destroy it again by a flood. He then said He would come by fire on the second return.
