Bloom Where You're Planted
2 Kings 5:1-14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
A lot of times people live in disappointment because they live a life of unbiblical nature. How many are truly faithful to God in the really tough times? Everything around you will change but God never changes. There is no reason to why we should be depressed all of the time, it's unbiblical. How many times to we put on the bullseye and just ask for the bad stuff to just hit us? We should choose to believe God no matter the circumstances. We should rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS. If you're walking around and state that you're suffering for Christ, then you're living a lie. We as a Christian have a responsibility to bring hope to the lost. The maid was a slave that was taken away from her family but she decided to bloom where she was planted. She had no control over her circumstances. You must decide if you're gonna be a victim or a victor. Greater is He that is in me than that who is in the world. You know you can't uncrack an egg or put the water back under the bridge. Did you know that NOT believing God is a sin? You realize that when one makes a statement of belief that, that in itself will cause one to welcome conflict. Do you pick and choose where you make your belief known? Folks are desperate for hope in this day in time. At what point in your life did attending church become hard?

God Is Faithful
1 Corinthians 10:13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The life of Job still takes place to this day. People lose their finances, loved ones, personal belongings, etc. Those things that we lose are all worldly things that we should never put above God in our lives. Everyone is tested, everyone is put through trials. God is God in the good and He's God in the bad. What anchors you to this world? A husband would lay his life down to protect his wife but he can not allow his love for his wife be more that his love for God. Grief is real and you must pray with it but time will take the grief away. Whatever your concern is rest assured God has already been there and has defeated it, claim it. Regardless of the trial in your life, God is faithful. Being faithful means everything He has promised He will keep. God has never failed anyone. There's not a single person that wants to go through heartache but the heartache is what grows us. When you're going through a test God has put you into a controlled environment. When it gets to the point that you feel like you can't bare anymore, He gives you strength to pass the test. If He doesn't give you strength then He will provide a way out. Romans 8:28

Just Give It To Him
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Got a problem? Stop holding on to it, let God have it. Give it all to Him and don't pick it back up. Trust that He WILL take care of it.
Preached by Tommy Boring on November 29, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
No Jesus, No Peace. Know Jesus, Know Peace
Romans 5:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Often when we speak of salvation we think of earthly peace. But the truth of salvation is being saved means that we have peace with salvation. Having the peace of God is not having peace on this earth, it's about an eternal and spiritual peace. Having spiritual peace can't be removed. Romans 16:31 When we don't have worldly peace, we being saved have eternal peace. The life of a good faithful Christian is a hard road and life to live. There may come a time in your life when turmoil will come and all you've got left is to call out to God. God is the only peace that will never leave. When we have Jesus as our savior, we have a fellowship and a friendship. He doesn't see your unworthiness when He looks at your salvation. He sees His son and the blood that covers your sin. Once we've been saved, your always saved because we didn't save ourselves, God did.
Preached by Lucas Boring on December 7, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
The Value of Prayer
1 John 5:14-17 (Part of the Does He Abide Within? series).
We most often time do not value the cost that it took for us to pray directly to God. Jesus had to die for us to have the right to come before God. When the temple vail was torn in two, God was saying "come in". We satisfy the flesh daily, hourly with the objects of the world. We often want others to pray for us but we have the ability to pray directly. God knows exactly what you need and He gives you things that you've never asked for, but He still says ask. We as parents will teach our children to ask with words the things that they wish to have. We as Gods children should also ask through prayer. In order for God to hear our requests there are a couple of things that must take place first. First is that we must ask, pray. Second, we must NOT have sin in our lives. He will NOT hear you if you've got sin in your heart. We must also keep ALL of the commandments. Today you might be on the mountain and everything going well but, when difficulties occur, do you call the preacher? Jesus Himself said that whatever you ask in His name, it will be given to you. A blank check if you will. But, you must first be doing HIS will. The greatest answered prayer is the one where He saves a soul. God is not your butler or maid. The time to pray is not when tragedy hits, it's before it happens. Gods will is unknown to us. His will is what will be answered. We might want that perfect job but if it's not in Gods will, it will not happen. We must ask according to Gods will and everything will fall into place. In order to know that our prayers are heard we must be right with God. How do you know that God hears your prayer? Matthew 7 If we as a sinful people try our best to give what our children want, how much MORE does God love us and gives to us? Nothing, no one can compare to the love that God has for ALL of us. Prayer is important to our lives. It's communication between us and our God. It can be done anywhere and at any time. It pleases God to bless you. We as Christians should not be quick to judge our fellow brethren, but to pray for them. The greatest gift that can  be given to someone else is prayer.
