Prove
1 Thessalonians 5:21 (Part of the The Need For Christian Duties series).
No matter who is doing the teaching or preaching we should always know if it's the truth or not. There are many that for many years claim to be Christian but don't even know what the bible says. How can you check what is being taught if you don't know what the truth is? The only source of truth is the Word of God. 1 John 4:1, there are a lot of wolves in sheep clothing. We should not be live every spirit because not all spirits are good. A preacher should always be reading and have the bible with them at all times. Opinions are not truth but of personal thoughts. Preachers can lead you wrong. They can be teaching you something that they don't fully know themselves. It's not that all would intentionally mislead or misguide but simply not know and teach on assumptions. If you don't go to Sunday School then you need to start. The key word there is school. Our church is in session for about an hour learning more about Gods Word every Sunday. We should prove the preaching and to prove all things. We should know the difference between good and evil. Do you believe there is a devil? A car mass does one thing and one thing only, it points to true north. Just as the compass, the scripture points to the truth. We are pretty smart at most times and we know when we are in the middle of something that's not right. How do they know what is a counterfeit bill, they study the real. Not only should we prove what is good but we are to hold to those truths. It's a continuous process of sowing and reaping good things. The preacher can't plant the good stuff for you. He plants his own and you plant your own. In order to hold fast to the good it takes discipline. A lot of people don't like discipline because it's usually painful. Heb 10:23, you've got to make a choice and commit. Psa 119:33-34, once you've proven all things to the good then you should stick to the good, Phil 4:8.

Who is Wise in God?
James 3:13-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We should be careful that it's not about pride. In order to be taught, you must be teachable. You must forget about what people have said and get back to the Word of God. The Word of God is what will judge and teach, not what our forefathers set forth or said. A lot of people excuse themselves by not opening the bible. We should study to prove ourselves. If you asked someone a legitimate question they will try to give you an honest answer. Sometimes it's days if not weeks before we will pick up our bibles. Just because you read it doesn't mean that you've studied it. The bible isn't a dead word so it never gets old, it's a living word. One can't retire from God. It thrills God to get you smart in the Word. Sunday school is a must because we study the scripture. You need Jesus Christ as a tutor in your life daily. You can identify a wise man by his words. Conversation of God will make you a wise person. Just like their conversation, their works should back it up. If you can't walk it, don't talk it. If your works don't match your words then your neighbor will see a hypocrite. Where is righteousness found? The bible. Good conversation and good works will usually bring forth pride. Pride comes before a fall. Your good words from God and your good works from God will bring forth wisdom as long as you keep it in your heart and not your mind. A wise person is full of love and what is love? Jesus. If you're holding envy and strife in your heart then you are of the world and not of God. A Godly wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be persuaded by Gods Word, full of mercy and good works, without suspicion and is without hypocrisy. James 1:5 If you want wisdom, ask God for it without doubt and it will be given.

Jesus Loves the Little Children
Matthew 18:1-14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There are lots of needs to small children but the greatest of the needs are not physical. You must be converted as a small child. The first thing is that you must be dependent just as a child is completely dependent upon someone for everything. You must be dependent upon God. Once you become saved, you'll find out that being prideful never works. We should always lower ourselves and exalt Jesus Christ above all. It's very important to pay attention to the little children in our lives. When start bring your children to church, your life will be blessed. You better be careful how you treat little children as a saved person. Each small child has an angel that ministers to them.

Transformed By Beholding
2 Corinthians 3:12-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Christians need to continue to grow. We should not allow the things of the world to come into our lives. If you've been born again, you know if you're living your life according to God. If you are saved ask yourself a question, are you still drinking milk from God? The Jewish nation is blinded also the lost to what the saved can see. If one is saved, God has given you something that can transform your life. God wants a player not a spectator. If you are growing there will be pain. Christians are not growing because they are not attending school, reading from the text book and studying for their tests. If you've got a heart for God, you'll want to be more like a God.

The Never-ending Battle
Romans 7:21-8:1 (Part of the Spiritual Maturity series).
The flesh is strong but the Spirit is stronger. As long as you're alive you will always have an enemy and war to battle.
