Where Is Your Faith? (Part 2)
Daniel 3:16-30 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There are things about this world that it's not for God. There are those today that are told to deny their God and worship another God and if they don't death comes to them quickly. One shouldn't be a fool to those things in this world because we have been warned of those tests. One should make their mind up right now in whom they are going to serve no matter the circumstance. Just as the three men in Dan 3:16-30, they knew what was coming because they could watch the man made god being built. What kind of faith does it take to stand against a false god? The size of the faith is not the issue, it's the God behind it.

They were convinced, confidence and committed. They were also respectful in their attitude. Three were put in the furnace but four was seen. When they were called back out, three came out leaving the fourth one in the fire. In the time of your troubles, fiery times, God will be with you.

The world wants nothing to do with God . They try every way possible to remove Him each and every day. The bible is not just for Sunday's, it's also not just emergencies. Owners manuals are given out in order to know how to operate things just as the bible was given to know how to live and worship God.

Preached by Tommy Boring on December 10, 2017 (Sunday Evening).
The Sovereignty of God
Daniel 4:27-37 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Have you ever tried to grasp God? He is omnipotent. He created all. He is the King of kings. Yet we try everyday to take the control away from God. We say we believe that God is in control of everything and yet won't give Him full control of our lives. When it comes to our prayers we always shortchange God. Our prayers are weak and are manipulated by Satan. Psalm 118:1 God is always good. Either God is in full control or He's not. Regardless whether you understand why God allows certain things doesn't make God wrong and not in control. Our faith is not on the physical but of the spiritual. Most have experienced bad things in our lives but, God is always God through it all. In all things gives thanks. God is not worried about the upcoming elections. Nothing that the devil does surprises God. Nothing sneaks up on God. Romans 8:28 Everything works out for the good of God and will never fail us that are one of His.
Preached by Tommy Boring on June 19, 2016 (Sunday Evening).
Just Give It To Him
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Got a problem? Stop holding on to it, let God have it. Give it all to Him and don't pick it back up. Trust that He WILL take care of it.
Preached by Tommy Boring on November 29, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Stick To It!
Psalm 119:25-32 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There are times when one feels like they are closer to the dust of the earth than the height of the sky. We are down and depressed and feel worthless. But we should call on God to lift us up and it will if we ask. We should always confess our sins to God and ask for forgiveness. We should stay teachable before God. Some can remember entire songs, poems and even quotes but if we can't remember the bible there is a problem in our life. We should have a desire to be taught by God and to surrender to Him. We should ask God to remove the lies from our minds. The lies that the enemy whispers to us and we believe them. We are all liars. If we don't lie to others we often lie to ourselves. There comes a time when you'll have to chose your path and commit to it.
Preached by Tommy Boring on August 30, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Weakened Faith (Part 3)
Hebrews 10:32-39 (Part of the Faith series).
What is necessary to not give up on faith? The first thing is to think about it. One must remember and in order to remember, one must think. For those of us that are saved, there will always be some sort of battle where God moved to deliver you. The ones that we loved and were sick. We asked God to heal them and He healed them. There are things that Gods does that we do not understand and force us to ask Him, Why. But it doesn't change the fact that He's God. God doesn't consult us when He wants to do something. The second thing to do is to believe. The saved will say they are ok but when something happens that's horrible, their confidence is shaken. The confidence gets shaken because it didn't work out the way we thought it should had. So how can you believe when it's been stripped away? Don't give up on God but think back to what He said. We do not live an easy life, we will have trials and difficulties. We must believe and take that step of faith to know that God is in full control. Lastly, we must persevere.
Preached by Tommy Boring on August 9, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Stop, Drop & Wait
Isaiah 40:31 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Tribulation works patience. Patience is a virtue and if that's true, Jesus was born with it. Human nature teaches us to try to understand everything. God tells us to simply wait, be patient. God doesn't change His mind because we don't listen or do, He already knows the outcome and has planned for it. We as humans are very impatient. We should trust and wait on Gods will. God tells us to just trust Him. When we do it our way and not wait on Gods will, it will always mess up. Patience is something God gives. Everyone that waits on God will be blessed and be strengthened. Resist taking control when you should be waiting on God. Think of all the times when you've done it yourself and everything just fell into ruins. Faith is believing that God will take care of all of our problems.
Preached by Tommy Boring on May 10, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Do You Know?
1 John 5:18-21 (Part of the Does He Abide Within? series).
There are some truths. One of those is those that are born of God are a new creature. Those things that you once loved as a lost person you hate once you become saved. Likewise, if you continue to follow after those sins of the world then you've not been saved. If you've been born again, you will seek out more things to do for Jesus. Secondly, after being born again, we know that the Spirit that lives inside us will never leave. This means that it's no longer a burden to get up and come to church. We that are born again will have a want to come to church. Being born again also means that satan can not touch you. Stop giving credit to satan when God is in full control. Sorrow comes to those lost and saved and when they come to a Christian it's not always the Devils fault. Thirdly, we know as a Christian we are on the winning side, nothing can be against us because God is greater than ALL. Do you KNOW if you're on Gods side? The opposite of that is that you're lost. There is only two ways you could be, lost or saved. Just because you're a good person doesn't mean you're saved. The fourth thing is, we as Christians KNOW that Jesus Christ has come and walked on this earth, lived and died then was resurrected for our sins. We also know that He has given us an understanding of the scripture. The preacher can NOT save, invite or conjure up a spirit to save a person. The only way to defeat a lie is with the truth. The fifth thing is that we know the true God of eternal life. Keep in mind that anything that competes with God in your life is an idol. What tries to steal Gods time in your life?
Preached by Tommy Boring on November 30, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
Have You Made Up Your Mind?
Daniel 3:1-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We as a nation have begun to compromise with sin. God does not compromise on His word. The world we live in has built themselves a god. The god that they have built is a god of self, do as you will that makes you happy. There should be a decision that each of us must should make, which side are you on. Regardless of what the world says, God is always right. God has declared what is true. How many of you have swayed towards the world and away from Gods truth? There is no such place in the bible, Gods Word, that shows that He was tolerant of sin. Why would we think that what we think is right in Gods eyes? Have you made up your mind on who you are going to serve? Most things in your life simply doesn't matter. None of the saved are any different than any other sinner like a murderer, thief or drunk. The only thing in the world that has stand against the sin of the world is the church. Who is the church? If you love someone you will tell them the truth, not because you hate them. The world is not longer about God but about man. Jesus said He didn't come to bring peace to the world but to divide those for Him and against Him.
Preached by Tommy Boring on August 31, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
Class is in Session
2 Peter 3:5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We should be students of the Word. One of the things we excuse ourselves from is class. Some people do not like learning, but learning is the essence of growing. In order one to have an understanding, they must be taught. Nature is a teacher, 1 Corinthians 11:14. We are teachers to one another, Colossians 3:13. The Bible teaches us, Galatians 3:24, Romans 15:4. Do you think that Google is the answer? The Holy Spirit is a teacher, John 14:26. The Grace of God is a teacher, Titus 2:11-12. God is a teacher, Psalm 119:33-34.
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 16, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
Do You Get An Answer?
1 Kings 18:20-40 (Part of the True Worship series).
Are you or do you know people that say that God doesn't speak to them? Your altar should be rebuilt cleaned and used. You must be in a position for God to answer you. Stop blaming God for not answering you and start getting rid of the sin in your life.
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on November 25, 2012 (Sunday Evening).
The Dramatic One
Ezekiel 2:1-7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God never said it would be easy. He isn't going to judge you for those they turn away the gospel but He will judge you for NOT taking His Word to them. We are just to spread the gospel not to judge. Don't give up if they turn a deaf ear. It's a simple thing to speak to someone about The Lord, it's not easy, but simple. The world will tell you that you are not making a difference. One persons salvation makes all the difference in the world.
Preached by Lucas Boring on November 11, 2012 (Sunday Evening).
Do You Get It?
Proverbs 4:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
