I Am What I Am
1 Corinthians 15:10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Grace is what sustains us all. Grace is the unmerited gift of God. We sing it, we preach it, we read it and we see it. Is grace important in our lives? When no one else loves you, God does. Not only are we saved by grace but we are also called by grace. We also are justified by His grace. When you were saved, you didn't have any requirements to meet before being saved. Romans 5:20 Grace is abundant. 2 Cor 9:8 All grace can be for you. The grace of God does ALL work. It's not about you, it's all about Him. Phil 2:13 The grace of God inclines you to do what you do for Him. James 4:6 God gives us more grace when we fight against ourselves. Rom 5:20 There is simply an abundance of grace. 2 Cor 12:4-10, John 1:17 Grace and truth is by Jesus Christ only.
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 25, 2015 (Wednesday).
What Has God Told You To Do?
James 1:21-25 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Luke 9:23 You must take up His cross and follow Him. Mat 19:20 God calls some to preach, some to administer, some to sing, some to testify and some to shout but, He tells all of His followers to pick up His cross and make others believe. We are not to just hear, but to do. If you have a job and work, you know what your purpose is there. Students, your job is the school work. The result of working at a job is paycheck. The result for doing your school work is higher learning. Have you forgotten what God has told you to do? What is the result of forgetting your job or school work? One thing is we must rush to do what we've forgotten which means something possibly gets pushed to the side. Just as your job and school has requirements, your spiritual life is just as important. Would you want to fail God? Not being feed the Word of God can cause you to not work for God. Just being feed and not working will cause you to be lazy on God. There is a urgency to doing Gods work. Our place of work has deadlines just as completing your homework. The spiritual side is that God will come back. If you knew the time that God was coming back would it cause you to work? Acts 8 You're a tool in someone's tool shed. You're either Gods tool or Satans. Take a good look at your own salvation. Don't cheat yourself out of blessings by just sitting and not doing.
Preached by Jeff Welshan on March 11, 2015 (Wednesday).
Afraid of Worship
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When was the last time you went into His chamber and danced? When do you go into His court and simply praise Him? Sell out to God and you'll find something greater than the world. How can you get enough of God out of one service to not want to come back on Sunday and Wednesday nights? When we look on every corner we've all got problems and the enemy stands against us, but God is for us and nothing can stand against God. Praise God for that! Seems like people back in the day were more apt to shout for God. When we step into the church house we step into a place of holiness. If shouting embarrasses you, you might be in the wrong place. Heaven will be full of shouting. We should all get to the point where the "can't help it"'s take over. We worry about things when we shouldn't. Nothing can touch you until it goes through God first. Sunday's are not the only time to rest and experience God. We can all experience God at anytime that we lay ourselves down and lift up His name. What hinders us is others and what they may think of us.
Preached by Tommy Boring on January 4, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
The Business of Praise (Part 2)
Psalm 92:1-3 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Tonights service was full of praises, singing, testimonies, and breakthroughs. This was one of the songs that was requested and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Preached by Tommy Boring on August 24, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
The Business of Praise (Part 1)
Psalm 92:1-3 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Man can not work for seven days. If you try to work seven days for very long you will find yourself drained. Many people have their own views of which day is the sabbath but we recognize the first day, Sunday as the sabbath. We should lift of our voices to give thanks unto The Lord, but we should also sing it. How many times do you sit back and let someone else give praises? People come to church for many different reasons. It's time we pay back the debtor for what He did! Worship is contagious. Some has taken the day of rest to the extreme, you've fallen asleep on God. All earths creation has no problem with worshipping and praising God. The birds, rocks and even the fish give praise but we as humans have a problem with doing that. If you're walking around mad at someone, you can't praise God! There is a common component in praising God, that is God. Without God, nothing can be done. Everyone is looking for the "good thing". Praising God is a good thing. People should see YOU praise God. When the end of your day comes you can always think back and be thankful for something. Your heart never misses a beat during the night as you sleep, be thankful. Some things to praise God for. Mercy, patience, long suffering, kindness, provision, faithfulness, true, never fails, constant, omnipresent, omnipotent, etc. Sometimes just music is praising God. When it comes with the purpose of giving God praise, give Him praise. Col 3:16, Eph 5:19, In your hearts is the common place of praise. What keeps YOU from worship? Are you ashamed? Do you have sin in your heart?
Preached by Tommy Boring on August 24, 2014 (Sunday Morning).
