He Loves You, He Loves You, He Loves You
1 John 3:1-3 (Part of the Does He Abide Within? series).
God loves the sinner. He loves those that love Him. He loves those that do not love Him. Gods love is unexplainable. Nothing in our lives will ever earn Gods love. Many people will hear God calling in their heart but they will push Him away. God did not intend for anyone to go to hell. One can claim any religion or doctrine but until you've been born again, you are not one of His. We can not claim that we will always be saved because it's Gods Word not ours. God will make one do strange things. He can make you want to attend church. He will make you want to shout in happiness. He will make you realize where you've been and what He could save you from. There are those all over that think that they are of some sort of righteousness. Gods love goes way beyond our worth. We are all cursed through the beginning of time with Adam & Eve. Think of yourself as a beggar. If a king drove up and asked you to come live with him. He will bathe you, clothe you in the finest wears, feed you the finest foods and adopt you as one of his own.....forever! Would you accept the king's offer? Beloved, what does it mean to you? Do you love your brother, sister, neighbor and even ENEMY? Did you know that if you hate someone you've murdered them?
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 28, 2014 (Sunday Morning).
Being Different
Galatians 5:1-6:10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Man will always fail no matter how hard they try. God is perfect and will never fail. Man will always want to do good and will battle against the Spirit. When Jesus came to earth He was sinless throughout His life. We are not holy and never will be here on earth. We should humble ourselves before God and ask for help and forgiveness. When Christ lived on earth His life was lived as a servant with love to others. The only way to escape death and hell is to accept Christ as our living sacrifice. We often look down on the sinners and forget that we were just as they were. If you didn't have a purpose God would take you out of here. We should be as Christ and be long suffering to others. We should have a meekness to us because we are nothing. The sinner is just the same as a Christian therefore a Christian has nothing to be puffed up about. The church is to lift up others within its body. The devil wants to tear every Christian down to keep them from working for God.
Preached by Matthew Adams on September 24, 2014 (Wednesday).
Maintaining Our Passion For The Lord
Luke 8:14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God is the only thing that can give you happiness for eternity. Once God has convicted you it's a horrible feeling to know if you die you'll awake in hell. There is pleasure in sins for just a few days but in the end is death. Once you see your sin and repent, God is happy to receive you back into His arms. The difference between a sinner and a saved is that a sinner has nothing to lean on. A saved person has God to lean on and to ask for help that will never turn them away. How many times will God forgive you? When we were created a soul that lives forever was added to our lives. When we die, that soul will live either in Heaven or in hell. When we pray we are talking to God on a one-on-one basis. When we pray we get answers but sometimes they are not answered the way we think they ought to be. We should pray like it matters not because we feel we have to pray. Has there been anything that God has done good for you? Do we thank God for your health? Are you spoiled and expect more from God? As in football, God never has a bad season, He is ALWAYS the winner. We all have something good to say about God, Share it!
Preached by Matthew Adams on May 18, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
What Have You Chosen?
Psalm 73:21-28 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Those that love the world can not live God. Think about the commitment you made with God. God allows you to choose. There's a lot if pleasures in the world but they all fade away. They will not bring you the satisfaction that you hunger for. Are you truly a born again Christian? Everyday we have a choice whether we will follow God. One can't make the choice for another. Psalm 119 God will never leave or forsake you if you choose Him. He will hold you by the hand, constantly caring. He will guide you thru your walk with Him. After death He will receive us into His glory. You will never be alone if you've chosen God as your savior. Works do not get you closer to God.
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 30, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
"Well Done!" Will You Hear It?
Matthew 25:14-21 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We need to be faithful with a few things. When people look at the church they see a lot of people just like them instead of a people set apart. When God gives your something to do, be faithful in that and do it to your best ability. Be faithful in your service. A servant of God can't serve two masters. Mathew 6:24 You will either love God and hate the world or hate God and love the world. Romans 6:6 If you are saved, you belong to God and not yourself. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 We as church members should be faithful to each other as well as God. To serve God is to follow God. John 12:26 Does God expect or is He looking forward? Romans 12:1 Being saved means we should consider ourselves as a living sacrifice. To truly serve God you must serve one another. Galatians 5:13, Matthew 25:40-46, Galatians 6:2 Does it matter what you do? Luke 14:33 If you're not willing to give it ALL, then you can't be His disciple.
Preached by Tommy Boring on February 16, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
