Where Is Your Name Written?
Luke 10:17-20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Now in I this scripture, the 70 men were given a certain power to do these things. None since then have been given this power. Now there are a certain faith that seems to think they can do these things but the doctrine always wins, they die. We are warned not to find our peace in things that are carnal, the healing, the miracles or even the good things that might come our way. It rains on the just just the same as the unjust. There should be an excitement when it comes to attending the house of God. One never knows what God has in store. There are four things that we should not have faith in. Super natural powers is the first one. Yes they are powerful and miraculous but they are but temporal. Baptism is also something that one should not have our full joy in. Baptism can not save a person but it's only a visual representation of being changed, saved. Church membership is not something that should not be rejoiced as being saved. A lot of folks want to join the church but offer nothing to the believers. Works is one thing that a lot of people but their stock in that will seemingly gain them access to Heaven. Gods Word is plain when it states that no one is good and your good works are as filthy rags. Many will claim they did things in Jesus name but they don't know Him. What to rejoice about. Is YOUR name written in the Lambs book of life? Being born again is a personal thing. A man written name will not get you into Heaven. A church membership book will burn up in the end. Therefore it's not of any importance. If your name is written in Heaven then someone up there had to write it and that person is God. Whatever is of God and whatever is written of God is forever.

Having Time for a Compassionate Heart
Luke 10:30-35 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
As we look around we see troubles and trials and our country going down a sinful path. We live in a cruel world that has no compassion or love of God in them. The world is too busy doing the Devils busywork. We need to slow down and take time out to pray. Most will say about another that when something bad happens to another, "they got what they deserved". Religion is a dangerous thing. One could join every church they find, they could be baptized in every form of water around but still be lost. We as the saved need to simply respond and work for God. How many people come to church with a void and leave empty handed? You'll never understand the spiritual things until your born again. This world is all after someone to guide them, they are searching for a leader.
Preached by Darrell Croft on October 23, 2016 (Sunday Evening).
To Delay is Dangerous
Luke 19:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Jesus came to save all from the rich to the poor. There is only one category a person can fall in, lost or saved. Some people don't know their lost, they've not come to the age of accountability. Others know and either seek out Jesus or run from Him. There have been a lot of curious people come to Jesus. When you want to be next to Jesus, there will always be obstacles in the way to keep you from Him. The beggars obstacle was that he was blind. Zacchaeus's obstacle was his height, he was short. When you realize that you need Jesus, RUN to Him as fast as you can and don't let anything get in your way. When it comes to salvation, delay is a very dangerous thing. Do you realize that Jesus invites Himself to your heart? All you have to do is either open the door and receive Him or keep the door shut refusing Him.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 30, 2015 (Wednesday).
The Tree And The Treasure
Luke 6:43-45 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Only God can judge a man. If you're saved there should be evidence of that. If your life is of a sinner then a sinner is what you will reap. Does religion get you down, stop putting your hope in it. God wants people that can bare good fruit. If you're not paying attention the devil will come in and put holes in your testimony. If you are worried about trying to live a certain way, you need to be saved. If you're lost you're lost. You can not produce anything good from a sinful nature. Just because the fruit looks good doesn't mean it's Godly fruit. If you're saved and are saying you can't, stop denying the power of God. A lost man can not produce fruit of that of a saved person. If you are lost, you can never be good until you are saved and God makes you good. The second you've put "I" and "good" in the same sentence, you've messed up. All one has to do to be saved is to accept His treasure. God will put His treasure deep inside your soul and nothing can get to it.
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 3, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
Are You Going Your Way?
Luke 22:1-6 (Part of the 210th Original Tennessee Association of Primitive Baptist series).
People have gone for so long going their own way that they don't believe that there is a God. There are all kinds of religions in the world today but they've all changed throughout time. There is but one way to get find salvation. Stop trying to find a new way to get saved. God still calls out for people to be saved, but people still go their own way.
Preached by Ricky Boring on October 12, 2012 (Association Evening 2).
