How Serious Are You?
Isaiah 55:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Serious was tearing the roof off when you couldn't get through the door. It was casting all you had of two mites. It was laying your head on a chopping block knowing it was over. We love a life of ease and pleasure. We expect a hand out without working. We are usually more concerned with our own flesh than others. Yet we expect God to save but we take our relationship with Him for granted. Have you ever thought about the crazy love that God has for you? The greatest commandment that God gave us was for us to love Him back with ALL our hearts. Is your heart divided? Do you realize that most of the things we do each day doesn't matter? When you truly love God, you will want to do what God tells you. People attend church and never feel or do anything but leave saying they served God. Do you love God more than food? Then go without it a day or two. Do you love Jesus more than entertainment? Did you look for your cell phone before you came to church tonight? How about your bible? How many things are more important to you than God? What if God told you He was going to take those things away? How bad do you really want God to move and be in your life? Relationships are closer if work is involved for each other. Are you working for God? Do you brush your teeth or take a shower longer than you read your bible? You can tell God all day long that you love Him, but never show it. Love is an action, show Him that you love Him. Do you love Jesus? Do you really? Is your love conditional, you need Him only when something is wrong in your life?

True Worship Without Words
Luke 7:36-50 (Part of the True Worship series).
God is looking for a people that will worship Him. The guidelines are strict and exclusive, only in spirit and in truth. God is the greatest that there is. God ALWAYS welcomes you in His house. Push back the hinderances and come to Jesus. The very second you look down on another person, you've just lifted yourself up and therefore worse than the person you a judging. Jesus loves the sinner. Don't let your past haunt you. You can't serve God if you don't know Him. There is not one sinner that God does not love. If you are to come to true worship, you will commit your very best. If you don't bring your very best, then who are you truly worshipping? If you are not living for Christ, then you've missed it. God doesn't require things you can't do, He only requires your very best.
Preached by Tommy Boring on November 4, 2012 (Sunday Morning).
The Scarlet Letter
Exodus 20:14 (Part of the God's Top Ten series).
Almost everyone has encountered adultery. What does adultery mean; unfaithful. You can drive down the road and find on billboards, Internet all kinds of sexual adultery. Adultery is a marriage, family and testimony destroyer. The punish for adultery in the old testaments is death to both parties involved. Nothing hurts worse than an unfaithful relationship. What does adultery not mean? It has nothing to do with the bond of a marriage. What does adultery also mean? Not only the act but the thoughts and spiritual. Spiritual adultery is between one God and one person. Just as marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, so is our spiritual covenant between us and God.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 26, 2012 (Wednesday).
"This Is Gonna Hurt Me Worse Than It's Gonna Hurt You"
Exodus 20:12 (Part of the God's Top Ten series).
Life brings forth experience and experience brings forth knowledge. If you can't act correctly in your earthly home, then you're not going to act correctly in your spiritual home. You should have a relationship with your parents. If you can't understand authority then it will follow you for the rest of your life. If you think it, your Heavenly Father knows about it. The promise to honoring your parents is that you will live longer and be blessed. Parents, you must love and chasten.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 19, 2012 (Wednesday).
