Worrying About Nothing
Hebrews 12:18-29 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When we think of Christ we think of love. We often think and began to worry about the worldly things which will all pass away. We also begin to feel sorry for ourselves because of illness or because we feel we need a certain thing. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. We should stop and think about what Christ has done for our soul when we start to be low in spirit. God gives us blessings but He can always take them away.
Preached by Lucas Boring on October 1, 2014 (Wednesday).
He Loves You, He Loves You, He Loves You
1 John 3:1-3 (Part of the Does He Abide Within? series).
God loves the sinner. He loves those that love Him. He loves those that do not love Him. Gods love is unexplainable. Nothing in our lives will ever earn Gods love. Many people will hear God calling in their heart but they will push Him away. God did not intend for anyone to go to hell. One can claim any religion or doctrine but until you've been born again, you are not one of His. We can not claim that we will always be saved because it's Gods Word not ours. God will make one do strange things. He can make you want to attend church. He will make you want to shout in happiness. He will make you realize where you've been and what He could save you from. There are those all over that think that they are of some sort of righteousness. Gods love goes way beyond our worth. We are all cursed through the beginning of time with Adam & Eve. Think of yourself as a beggar. If a king drove up and asked you to come live with him. He will bathe you, clothe you in the finest wears, feed you the finest foods and adopt you as one of his own.....forever! Would you accept the king's offer? Beloved, what does it mean to you? Do you love your brother, sister, neighbor and even ENEMY? Did you know that if you hate someone you've murdered them?

Court is in Session
1 John 2:1-2 (Part of the Does He Abide Within? series).
There is a difference between knowing God and knowing god. There is no need for a courtroom until there is a law breaker, a criminal, a sinner. There are two kinds of sinners, you're either saved or lost. For those that are the saved sinners, we are to not to sin. We are to be holy as Jesus is holy. You have been called from sin, away from sin. But even though we've been saved and called from sin, we all sin daily. The problem with most of us is that we are prideful and think we can handle on our own. We all have an appointment with the judge at some point. God is the judge of all things and we are to go before Him with boldness. How do you go before God with boldness? First He is our Father and second He loves us. We are judged in the courtroom of Grace. There is and will never be a judge on this earth that is anything like God. God knows already what we have done and knows how guilty we are of sin. The lawyer being Jesus knows our condition. Jesus can no plea your case because we are guilty of sin no matter how good we are. Jesus will plea His case and how He took our sin away if we believed in Him and was saved. In the end the judge will cast His judgement, if you are lost He will canst you into hell to live/die forever. If you've been born again then He will cast you into Heaven to live in Glory forever with Him.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 7, 2014 (Sunday Morning).
Christ Is All
Colossians 3:1-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Why are you not doing what God told you to do? We are always dragged down by someone else's excuses. No one makes you go to church. If you're not motivated to work for God by loving God, then it can't be done. If you're lost then you are dead and the dead can't do anything. So why do you go to church? Christ is all, All What? God is all wisdom. Have you ever been in a place that you had no idea what to do? If you want wisdom, just ask God for it. Eph 1:7-8 God isn't surprised by your condition. Stop trying to do it yourself! Wisdom is good for us. God knows everything from the now and forever to come. God is all grace. Grace is an umbrella. 1 Pet 5:10, 2 Cor 9:8 Grace is the one thing that shadows all of Gods people and we were all undeserving of it. God is all joy and peace. People everywhere are searching for joy and peace. Rom 15:13 What is it that drives a person to find joy and peace? There is nothing better in this world than peace. Peace can't be created in the mind. You must first have peace in your soul before you can have joy in your life.

All For His Glory
Philippians 1:3-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God does all the work concerning salvation. God began to seek us out for salvation. After He seeks us then after we accept Him, He sanctifies us. We can not keep ourselves through salvation. When God saves us, He does it eternally. When God saves He changes us into a new creature. If you love God and are one of His, you will follow His commandments. Being saved means you are obedient and will bear fruit. Being saved is not just making a profession, it's repentance, belief and faith. Being saved is not a life of ease and luxury. When the saved sins, we should know it and be sorrowful for sinning. The devil will tell you that you can continue in sin after being saved. Being saved means that when you do sin, you repent and continue to repent.
Preached by Lucas Boring on February 23, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
