The Shortcut To Repentance
2 Corinthians 7:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We can say we are sorry to each other but no really mean it. God knows if our repentance is true. The only thing that can comfort one in sorrow is repentance, God. There is no greater joy than to hear that someone has repented. How does God tell one that they need to repent? God can speak to one through the preacher. The preacher doesn't know any more than the next person. God can not overlook sin. God can use circumstances to speak to ones heart to repent. God knows how to open our hearts. God can also use someone else to speak to us about repentance. If God tells you to speak to someone about a dangerous lifestyle/sin, please speak with them. Love them enough to help them and not worry about what the devil will threaten you with. What are you trying to hide from God? What is it in your heart that God is dealing with you about?
Preached by Tommy Boring on June 22, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
Steal Away And Pray
Matthew 6:5-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It pleases God for us to go to Him in prayer. If Jesus went to pray to God alone, then we should pray to God alone. We talk about the failures and troubles in our hearts the most, God said to pray alone about those things. Once you get alone with God, He will reveal things to you. When was the last time you were alone with God? Stop depending in others to pray for you. It's your responsibility to seek God in prayer.
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 3, 2013 (Sunday Evening).
Are You One Of "Them"?
2 Timothy 4:1-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Preached by Tommy Boring on June 19, 2011 (Sunday Evening).
