Born To Die
Luke 2:21 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The reason why Jesus came down from Heaven is because of someone like you. You, a person that lives in sin and on a sinful world. Why would Jesus do this? He did all these things for us but we don't come to church but once a week. The Lord can be with you at home but He told us to be with the members of your church, fail not to assemble themselves. Sunday morning the church will be almost full but come that night it'll be half empty. They tortured Jesus to the point of death but no more. He took the beatings and the mutulation for our sins. He gave His life being the sacrifice for all of our sins.
Preached by Zachary Willis on December 16, 2018 (Sunday Morning).
We Don't Need A New Cart
2 Samuel 6:1-3 (Part of the Revival 2018 series).

We live in a time where people don't want to hear the name of the Lord. They want a feel good religion. According to the Word of God, the Word when it's presented it should cut away at the sin which is a painful action. If you can sit in the church house and the Word is presented and you feel alright, then there's something wrong. People don't want to bare up with the weight of God. They don't want to do the work that God has given them to do. People don't reverence God like they used to. The respect of God is lost in the newer generations.

Heb 4:12 the Word of God is needed as a discerner. We need more pulpits and less stages. We don't need to hear lies about how good we are, we need to hear of how we are but a sinner. You can pick up a bible at just about any place but folks don't want to read them. The attendance number doesn't make it a church.

2 Chron 7:14-15 worship can be done in silence. Praising is done with movement. We need a Word from God. If you get close to God it'll get to the point that you won't care what others think about you. Be careful of the services that you sit thru. If it takes material objects to make you move and the Word of God makes you simply sit, you've got it all wrong. The world is invading our churches all over.

Jer 6:16 we need to get it right. A pulpit, a man that's not afraid to preach it and call sin-sin, a congregation that won't compromise and call sin -sin. Seek out the old paths. We need to get to the root of the problem and get rid of it.

Preached by Thomas Vananda on June 5, 2018 (Revival).
Remember Who've We Got
Psalm 42:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
As a Christian we will have to walk thru some rough patches. No matter the roughness, we should always praise God. Do you live in a place where all you've got is tears? Tears that cry out where God is? When your life in in good shape you never doubt where God is at. But when the times get hard we often doubt that God is even around. When you're down and out, don't just sit down, get up and get to church. God speaks more than Sunday mornings. What if what you needed was preached on Sunday night and you decided not to show up?

Verse 5: Disquieted means to be worried. Are you worried about something in your life, your work, health? We should put our hope in God. If God is supporting us then what could knock us out of His hands?

Christians have God on their side. Never forget that God is for us and is the God of ALL control, Gen 1:5. God stepped out on nothing and made something and is in control of it all. Ps 24:1-2, everything is Gods, there is nothing that's not. Ps 136:1-9, mercy is not getting what do deserve. God has control over the day and He controls the night. He is in full control.

He is the God of safety, Gen 7:17-18. God said to come into the Ark not go into because He was in the Ark providing safety. Ps 143:9-10, when we think of enemies we often think about others that do not like us. But our biggest enemy is within our head, our mind. It tells us things that are not true and causes us to doubt. Prov 18:10, just the name of Jesus is a safety. Just think, if just His name is a strong tower, what is His person? The prodigal son once he realized and came to his senses, dropped what he was doing and ran back home to his father. His father seen him coming from afar and ran to his son. It didn't matter what his son smelled like, looked like or what he had done. The father still loved his son.

He's the God that's a way maker, Ex 14. When all you've got is a wall of doubt in front of you, God is a way maker. Just let go of it and let God deal with it. Did you know that the wall in front of you might be for someone else's life? Once God brings you thru it, tell others where you came from.

1 John 3:1, God is the god of love. It's an honor to be a child of Him. Christians know whom they belong to and we always go back to God for help. Did you know that you're not an inconvenience to God? Rom 5:8, God didn't just say He loves you, He showed it and proved it by sending His ONLY son to die for our sins. Jer 31:3

Ps 73:25-26, we must remember whom we have. If we are ever going to be overcomes then we have got to start living like we don't have God. Who do you have? Do you know if you've got a relationship with God?

Preached by Anthony Morgan on April 15, 2018 (Sunday Morning).
The Brazen Altar
Hebrews 13:9-15 (Part of the Tabernacle, Covenant and a Priest series).
Tabernacle Layout

Bronze Altar

Heb 9:24 this is reminding that it didn't involve God as a being but just as a symbolic figures.

The Bronzen Altar was 8ft wide and 8ft long, square and stood 5ft tall. Just a church, it's setup for sin to be brought up to God. The church is open just the gate for any and all. There was no steps to the altar, it was not allowed. Christ was a type of this altar. We have an altar where we bring our burdens. Christ was crucified on a hill, no steps in order to get there. Once He was at the top He was sacrificed. The common person could go to the altar but no further. The person with the sin would make the sacrifice and would lay their hands on the sacrifice to transfer their sin to the sacrifice. While this happened the priest would then kill the animal and capture it's blood. Then the blood would then be poured around the altar for the remission of the persons sin. Imagine Christ as He was whipped and His flesh was torn. Walking to His cross leaving a trail of His blood all the way. Then when they nailed Him to the cross as His blood drained down the cross. The fire in the altar was to never go out. God started the fire and just like John the Baptist said about being baptized, it's a fire that will never go out. Once you're saved, God will put a fire deep down in your soul that will never go out. If you want your fire to grow and get hotter, find yourself at the foot of Jesus. Calvary was outside the city, the Holy Place. Sacrifice is something anyone can do and anywhere. An altar is a place where one allows things to be given up. The great thing about today's altars is that there is no shedding of blood because it's already been given. Heb 9:1-15 we should go to the cross (altar) and bear it. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ then you MUST identify with the cross. Could we pick you to pattern how to praise God? Rom 12:1 at the altar we should become a living sacrifice. What have you been bringing God to altar? Only the best could be brought to the altar, no second best. Christ walked up the ramp with the altar on His back and gave Himself as the sacrifice that would forever pay the sin debt for all that would accept it.

He's Always There
Romans 1:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Some say they can't live right because they feel they fail constantly. Most want to run to the preacher because they want him to like them and be accepted. No one has done anything to deserve salvation. No amount of works or money will bring salvation. If one can't earn salvation then one can't do anything to lose salvation. Salvation isn't based upon ourselves, it's based upon Christ washing you're sins away. Genesis 17:5 We have a God that is ALL. He's not limited by anything or anyone. God is looking for obedience and your limits He can overcome. If God says He will never leave you, what does that really mean to you? Romans 8:28 He is always working. We should all learn how to say, yes Lord, and do it every time He speaks to us. Not only Abraham pleasing to God through his obedience but Enoch and Noah. If you think your life is bad right now, stop and think about how your life would be if there was no Jesus. James 1:12, Rev 2:8 We all deserve to be sitting in jail for some sin or another but God came to forgive through obedience.
Preached by Steve Howard on September 21, 2016 (Wednesday).
