Greener Pastures
Luke 15:11-24 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
You don't have to be young to be rebellious. You don't have to teach anyone to be prideful or rebellious. We call rebellion many things. When sin comes into your life, you'll see things in a different way. When you think you've got the world by the tail, you'll start being prideful. The devil wants to destroy you and cause you to go the opposite way of God. Just because someone you know lived a rebellious life doesn't mean you need to also. You can't sow bad things and reap something good later. Ask anyone that has rebelled against God and come back to Him and they will all tell you, don't go that way. We all have a choice to live, choose God! Don't think for one minute that just because you've been raised right doesn't mean you can get by in life sowing to the world. If you go around sowing to the world you WILL reap what you have sown. You can not stop it and the harvest will be from the world. The only way to not follow the world is to repent of the worldly nature of your flesh. Once your child gets to a certain age a parent can no longer chasten them, but that also means they've fallen into Gods hands. If you're a child of God and begin to run wild with the resources of the devil, you will run out. The devil only has so much to hand to you but you will run out as far away as where you started. Children think that their life is hard living with their parents. What makes a child think that a parent that would jump in front of a bullet would lead them or motivate them in the wrong direction? There are rules and regulation throughout this world and they are usually there to protect everyone because someone cared. When one rebels they will resort to doing embarrassing things for the devil. If you're saying, when you clean you're act up, you'll come to church, it will never happen. No one has ever been able to clean themselves. Romans 8:35-37 Nothing can separate us from Gods love. The devil will steal everything you've got before you realize that you need to go back to God.

Almost
(Part of the Revival 2013 series).
Almost means nearly or very close. It is an excuse. God has given us a right mind. God rewards faithfulness. Salvation is not about what you do. Exam yourself to know whether or not you've been saved. You should have an affirmation of your salvation. You should respond to the call. He will finish any work he has started. He is looking for a willing vessel. Confession is good for the soul! You are held accountable for what you know. If you will draw nigh to The Lord, he will draw nigh to you. God is cultivating your heart. He makes his abode on the inside. Do you have a desire to follow The Lord? You aren't doing God any favors. It's not about"I" it's about him. The church is spiraling upward. The Lord gives power and sound mind not fear. Even in your failures and mistakes, you can't fall away from his grace. The law is written on your heart. Forsake all to follow him! If you are right with God you can be right with anyone. You won't continue in sin. Flee from even the appearance of sin. Life and death is right before you and all you have to do is be saved. You aren't alone and he wants to give you all he has to offer. But, you have to let go and run to The Lord. You are begotten by the word. You can't serve God if you are not right with your brother. Love is where it's at. Today is the day to proclaim the gospel. Just let go and sell out! All you have to do is come and dine. Persecution is coming. If you listen to the devil you will walk a mile with him before you realize it. Does what you have, have spiritual value? Do you have a counterfeit? If it didn't cost you something it probably wasn't worth anything. Are you changing? Or are you stagnant? Almost thou persuadest me... You know the truth.
Preached by Jason Blair on June 18, 2013 (Revival).
The Last Chance
Isaiah 55:6-9 (Part of the Communion Services series).
A lot of people claim to be a Christian but are not. Just because you hang around a crowd doesn't mean you're a part of them. You have to love God in order to have a desire for Him. We live in a society in that we judge by how well our lives are by looking at the material things we own. The world has plenty of distractions to keep your focus off of God. You must call on Him while He is near. One can't call on God whenever you're ready. He's not your servant or your co-pilot. He is your Lord and your pilot. There will come a day when God will stop calling for you. You will call for Him and He will not answer. Could God be so that He would place people in hell? Do you live a life of a rebellious nature, going against what God has told you? We worry about things below, things down on this earth that will all be burned up. Our thoughts are about the here and now. God is about eternity. How could God love a sinner? We forgive but we don't forget. When God forgives He casts those thoughts away. We have limits on how many times we forgive others, but God does not. Do you look at others and think that God can't help them? Don't wait until that un-promised next time. Would you give one of your perfectly healthy children to save a complete strangers life?

The Ultimate Thirst Quencher
Isaiah 55:1-3 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Don't we as people get burdened down with the things of this life? The more that you love something, the more that you'll want to spend time with that thing. In order to be thirsty, effort must be made. God isn't looking for your money. God isn't looking for your talents or the lack of. If you are born again, you will always have a thirst for God. We spend a lot of time and money on things of this world that doesn't bring satisfaction to the soul. God will not reward you for where you worked in your life. If you divide your love with things and God, you're committing adultery. Don't give God your leftovers.
Preached by Tommy Boring on May 26, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
How Serious Are You?
Isaiah 55:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Serious was tearing the roof off when you couldn't get through the door. It was casting all you had of two mites. It was laying your head on a chopping block knowing it was over. We love a life of ease and pleasure. We expect a hand out without working. We are usually more concerned with our own flesh than others. Yet we expect God to save but we take our relationship with Him for granted. Have you ever thought about the crazy love that God has for you? The greatest commandment that God gave us was for us to love Him back with ALL our hearts. Is your heart divided? Do you realize that most of the things we do each day doesn't matter? When you truly love God, you will want to do what God tells you. People attend church and never feel or do anything but leave saying they served God. Do you love God more than food? Then go without it a day or two. Do you love Jesus more than entertainment? Did you look for your cell phone before you came to church tonight? How about your bible? How many things are more important to you than God? What if God told you He was going to take those things away? How bad do you really want God to move and be in your life? Relationships are closer if work is involved for each other. Are you working for God? Do you brush your teeth or take a shower longer than you read your bible? You can tell God all day long that you love Him, but never show it. Love is an action, show Him that you love Him. Do you love Jesus? Do you really? Is your love conditional, you need Him only when something is wrong in your life?
Preached by Tommy Boring on May 22, 2013 (Wednesday).
