Pruned To Perfection
John 15:1-2 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When you prune things you cut them back. You have to prune things back in order to make it flourish. Not anyone can simply begin pruning, one must learn how to prune in order for the plant to flourish. All of us could confess that things pop up in our lives that take our focus off the main thing. Gal 5:22-23 are all fruits of the Spirit. We should look into the areas where the opposite of the fruits are growing. From a business aspect, they are always looking for ways of making more money, cutting out those things that waste money. Mat 5:16, Gods aim in your life is to make you more fruitful. Just as the fruit gardener is, God is patient. If you're grafted into the true vine then God will prune away all of the things that are unproductive. The fruit we bare is not to give glory to the branch. How fruitful are you? If you're truly attached to the vine then the vine cares about what type of fruit your growing and sharing.

No Excuses, Pastors, Peace, Warn & Comfort
1 Thessalonians 5:12-24 (Part of the The Need For Christian Duties series).
We should be living and growing towards God. Here you will see a series of things that need to be done. There are many religions or cults that are based on works and works only. The truth is that works without being saved is nothing, empty.

No Excuses: Eph 4:1 Christians are not excused for Gods work. Every Christian has been called by God to do His duties. The flesh wants to only do what pleases it and it is lazy and wants to not do anything. 2 Tim 1:12-13 we should hold fast the Word of God, truth.

Pastors: 1 Thes 5:12-13 Christians should understand fully the work of the pastor. We should love them and lift them up before God. It's not the person but the function that should be cherished and loved. Man didn't setup the church, God did and ordained it as His.

Peace: We should also be at peace with each other and not bicker amongst ourselves. Rom 12:18 if two people are saved then peace should be between the two. Rom 14:19 we should follow after things that are peaceful with others. There is no place within the body of Christ for grudges. Psa 133:1 it's always good for unity between the Christian.

Warn: 1 Thes 5:14 we as Christians should warn the unruly or unholy. This means that in love we should approach a fellow Christian and warn them that what they are on the wrong path. We should care enough for the brethren to warn them.

Comfort: 1 Thes 5:14 if one lives long enough the less your mind remembers. We should comfort those that can not care for themselves. Gal 6:2 The body of Christ should care for those that can't do for themselves. Supporting the weak or broken. We sacrifice to give to others that give themselves.

Long Suffering But Not Ever Suffering
2 Peter 3:3-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God only promised one opportunity to be saved, only one time will He invite you. We should be thankful for the chastening that God does to us. The chastening indicates that He loves us and wants what's best for us in His image. God shows us patience over and over and yet He doesn't have to. There are times we as Christians choose to go against what God has told us to do. During those times of disobedience God is longsuffering to us. At times we seem to think that if we can't see Him then we won't get caught, just the same as a child acts away from their parents. But God is all knowing and can see everywhere and everything. During those times of disobedience there will come a time where Gods longsuffering will come to an end and He will draw a line in the sand. He will show up when you're least expecting Him and place a stopping point. If you choose to step over the line that He has drawn then you've forced Him to remove the problem. Just as a disobedient child and a loving parent. The child will be warned to obey but there will come a time when the child disobeys to the point that the parent must intervene and remove the child's pleasures. If you're a child of a God and are living in disobedience, it's no surprise when He deals with you. God is raising children and He is trying to grow us into His likeness. If you're walking thru your Christian life and you know God is chastening you, count it a blessing because you're one of His. Gods patiences does and will run out. Don't push Him till His patiences runs out on you.

Wondering Endlessly
Isaiah 64:6-8 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There are times in our Christian walk where we think we've got it all figured out but, our righteousness is of filthy rags. Once we think we've got it figured out, that is when we are about to fall. So at the best that we could do, our works are as filthy rags compared to Gods glory. We all fall short daily and must repent before God. When you get into a hopeless condition with sin, just call on Jesus. Being in sin is truly a hopeless condition. If your saved you can not walk in sin. You might be able to walk in it for awhile but God will not dwell with sin therefore you will walk further and further from Him. A good potter will start out with a lump of unformed clay beginning to work it until it's something that both the potter and others would be proud of. If we were the potter we would just get rid of the lump of clay instead of making it better. At the root of being prepared and ready for church is getting the imperfections out, the sins that are in our lives.

A Bright Future
Revelation 19:1-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It seems that with every turn of the world today that Christians are persecuted worse and worse. If we are saved we shall open our eyes after death and be in a place that will have no sadness, grief, tears, pain or death. We sometimes get stuck in today's sorrow and depression but hold tight till the end. Our bodies are currently sinful and we struggle with it on a daily basis here on earth. In heaven our bodies are made holy and then are worthy to enter into His throne room. Rev 22:1-21 God sent His angel to tell us what to expect in Heaven. Make sure that you're saved because there will be no second chances after Jesus comes back to get saved, it will be too late. Don't let the worlds sins get you down. Just keep your eyes on Jesus and what is in store for us that's saved. Stop worrying about what the world is doing, just do what God has told you to do. Serve the one that has control over life and death. Being a Christian should be a happy life. God gives us blessings that we don't even deserve. Be happy for those blessings.
