This Then Is The Message (Part 1)
1 John 1:5-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
First and foremost, Jesus is the light. The first thing that was done in the beginning is that light was declared to overcome the darkness. What the world needs is Light. In this world we live in it with darkness surrounding us. Everyday when we look outside we see that the sun rises shedding light to beginning the beginning of a new day. We have different time zones because our lives revolve around the sun. In our lives we will all suffer a time of darkness but know that the light is just around the corner. The devil wants to tear you down and remove the victory that Christ has given you. As the children's song goes, if we hide our light under a bushel the light is still there, it's just a small flicker. Some have played with the light for too long and haven't share it with others. So how do you shed more light in a room filled with darkness? You lift up the light. Do you have the light in order to lift it up? Jesus is light and when Jesus is in your life it dispels all darkness.
Preached by Tommy Boring on December 11, 2016 (Sunday Morning).
Ministry of Reconciliation
2 Corinthians 5:11-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The only way to be reconciled is Jesus to sacrifice Himself and for us to accept Him as our savior. Those that live outside of Christ are the enemies. We have the ability to look out amongst our neighbors and have compassion and to love those that are not of God. How can we not care or forgive if we ourselves have been cared for and forgiven? Many things divide us that shouldn't. The problem is not their addictions or sins, it's the fact that the devil has ahold of them thru his stronghold. Christ didn't die for some or a few, He died for ALL that would believe on Him. Living in the ministry of reconciliation means we live in repentance and the care of those that are lost. How many times do we not say anything to those that pass us that are lost? How many times do we allow the devil to control our sharing of Christ? God's love should compel you to put your life on the line to share with others about Christ. To those that hate you, say hurtful things about you, keep in mind that Christ loves them. God's given you the engine and the fuel. Get out of park or reverse and put it into drive and go.
Preached by Tommy Boring on November 1, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Without a Vision
Nehemiah 1:1-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We live in a time where their are multiple "gods" within our society. Therefore many sit at ease without any thought of anyone else because we have no real persecution for our beliefs. You are only upset and ready to fight when the devil attacks you or your family. Most have no concern for others and what the devil does to them. Where is your passion? Is it in your checkbook, your money? How about where you spend your time? If you can't love your neighbor as yourself then you can't love God. So who is your neighbor? As the bible says, one persons neighbor was their enemy. When was the last time you've asked them about their relationship between them and God? One of our problems is that we mind our own business when it comes to others salvation. Hoe do you know if you don't have a vision, you don't pray before God. Don't give up with praying. When God gives you the answer or the vision, you must do it.

What Type of Soldier Are You?
Joshua 6:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
If you're a child of God, then you're in a battle. Your position might be different than the next. Most here in this country are patriotic and will fight for our freedoms. However, will you fight for God? There are more listeners than doers for God. If you are a preacher then you need to preach what God gives you and not sugar coat it. If our boss or a general tells us to do something we say yes sir or yes ma'am but when God tells us to do something we want to argue and whine about it. If we were getting paid to do Gods work, would you get a pay check at the end of the week? There are three categories of Christians. There are the armed. These are Christians that are on the front line. These carry the sword of the Spirit and are equipped with the armor of God. We as Christians should defend the Word of God in ALL circumstances. We should be equipped for battle through training. We have training sessions each Sunday morning during Sunday school. We also have training during preaching to teach us how to use our equipment, the armor of God. How often do you sit and try to figure out Gods plan? Another group of Christians is the trumpeters. Christians, ministers, preachers that are telling others that God is on His way. Don't stop sending out the Word as messengers. The third type of Christian is the ones that simple march. Marching is not doing anything but it's being obedient. Following the orders, filling in the gaps so there are no place for the devil to break through. Which Christian are you? Are you even in the battle at all?

Gods Will or the Comfort Zone
Genesis 28:10-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God loves everyone of His children no matter what. Sometimes one has to leave to do Gods will, leave your comfort zone. There isn't anything that you'll go through that God hasn't been through already. If you're born again, there isn't anywhere you go where God is not already there. At times we may have to take a leap of faith to find Gods will. God is all knowing and He knows what we will do and what we won't do. If you're a child of God, all things will work out for the good. When God takes you on a journey He will always go with you and He will bring you home. One of the reason that we would have to leave our comfort zone is to leave the things that are holding us back.
Preached by Tommy Boring on April 29, 2015 (Wednesday).
