Are You Bearing Good Fruit?
Galatians 5:16-25 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
To live in the spirit you must be born again. There was a reason that Jesus had to go away. If He had not gone away then the comforter would not have come. If you're saved then you should act that way. Gal 5:19-21 bind one to the world and should not be a part of a Christians life. Gal 5:22-24 should be reflected by a Christians life at all times. Are you bearing good fruit? A person can not love unconditionally without the love of Christ and in order to have that one must be saved. The unsaved can only love if they are loved back. The Spirit of God is to be active and not dormant in a Christians life. If no one is able to see your fruit, is it really there? The second thing that God produces is joy. Joy can not be produced by a person. What you feel when something makes you happy is only temporary and will eventually disappear. Most "joy" down here is a lust of the flesh happiness. Jesus gives us unspeakable joy that is everlasting. Peace, another fruit that's given during Salvation. Peace that can surpass all troubles and difficulties. Nothing can give a person peace like Jesus can. Jesus may not move the mountain in your life but He will give you the peace to climb it. Longsuffering a fruit from God above and an attribute of patience. When our loved once are living dangerously in the world and God tells you to let God have them, that requires much patience and longsuffering. A Christian should have gentleness. How many times have you wanted to "get even"? Don't overlook gentleness because it's a tough one in the world we live in. Goodness, there is none good but the fruit of the Spirit can produce it. If there has ever been a time to need good Chrisitians, it's now. Those Christians that would get into the ditch to help another without thinking about themselves. The faith that we have comes from God because without it we would struggle to believe. So how does one receive the faith? Walk in the Spirit. Where we can't, He will. All of the fruits of the Spirit is what Jesus had, therefore being a Christian is being "Christ like". Love those that hate you, pray for those that hate you, care for those that are enemies to you. Those things are meekness. Temperance or self-control. We could all use more temperance. We live in the world full of addictions, pornography, drugs, sexual sins, all lusts of the flesh. All nine of these things can not be produced by oneself. They can only be produced by God alone thru Salvation.

The Hard Journey Home
Ruth 1:19-22 (Part of the Ruth 1 series).
Sometimes it's hard to go home. The flesh sometimes doesn't want to go back because of shame and hurt. The journey back home can't start until you turn back. The chastening of God is not pleasant but it's needed because He loves us. If you're saved and living outside of the will of God then you are living a dangerous lifestyle. God will not allow His children, the saved to live outside of His will for very long. Those that are living outside of the will of God should be viewed by the church (saved) as those that need love with compassion. Sin WILL take your life. We've all at some point thought we could do it on our own without Gods help. When the children of God are in trouble we should not punish them because it's Gods job to do so. The hard part of having to go back home is the repenting, apologizing for turning your back on God. Being broken is the first step in turning back to God. Repentance to God is the second fruits of going back home. Confession to those they have wronged would be the third step. One can't be fixed until they realize they are broken. Are you not tired of the bad stuff? You can't live in sin and expect God to bless you with the good stuff.

Who is Wise in God?
James 3:13-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We should be careful that it's not about pride. In order to be taught, you must be teachable. You must forget about what people have said and get back to the Word of God. The Word of God is what will judge and teach, not what our forefathers set forth or said. A lot of people excuse themselves by not opening the bible. We should study to prove ourselves. If you asked someone a legitimate question they will try to give you an honest answer. Sometimes it's days if not weeks before we will pick up our bibles. Just because you read it doesn't mean that you've studied it. The bible isn't a dead word so it never gets old, it's a living word. One can't retire from God. It thrills God to get you smart in the Word. Sunday school is a must because we study the scripture. You need Jesus Christ as a tutor in your life daily. You can identify a wise man by his words. Conversation of God will make you a wise person. Just like their conversation, their works should back it up. If you can't walk it, don't talk it. If your works don't match your words then your neighbor will see a hypocrite. Where is righteousness found? The bible. Good conversation and good works will usually bring forth pride. Pride comes before a fall. Your good words from God and your good works from God will bring forth wisdom as long as you keep it in your heart and not your mind. A wise person is full of love and what is love? Jesus. If you're holding envy and strife in your heart then you are of the world and not of God. A Godly wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be persuaded by Gods Word, full of mercy and good works, without suspicion and is without hypocrisy. James 1:5 If you want wisdom, ask God for it without doubt and it will be given.

I Am What I Am
1 Corinthians 15:10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Grace is what sustains us all. Grace is the unmerited gift of God. We sing it, we preach it, we read it and we see it. Is grace important in our lives? When no one else loves you, God does. Not only are we saved by grace but we are also called by grace. We also are justified by His grace. When you were saved, you didn't have any requirements to meet before being saved. Romans 5:20 Grace is abundant. 2 Cor 9:8 All grace can be for you. The grace of God does ALL work. It's not about you, it's all about Him. Phil 2:13 The grace of God inclines you to do what you do for Him. James 4:6 God gives us more grace when we fight against ourselves. Rom 5:20 There is simply an abundance of grace. 2 Cor 12:4-10, John 1:17 Grace and truth is by Jesus Christ only.

In the Protection of Your House
Haggai 1:1-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Mat 6:33 We should set our house in order. God wants to bless but He will not do that if there is sin in the camp. How many want the house of God to grow? How many are willing to look at the faults of ourselves and are willing to seek to mend them? We should be honest about our sins and willing to remove them, clean them. How many of us try to fulfill our flesh each day? We live in a country where we want our ear tickled, pats us on the back, tells us that we are doing ok, a version of the gospel that says we are ok. People live everyday serving themselves. Are you truly surrendering to Gods will? One can't live for two masters. We as America should turn our eyes from the devil and seek God. Each and every person when they die will lose everything in their fleshly grasp. How far down do you have to go before you realize that God is in control? Think about what you are doing. If you are doing things in the church that's great but if you are lacking love and what God is telling you, then it's just for waste. There are many churches in our country that are beautiful but God doesn't care about that. He wants the spiritual bodies of people to be beautifully built by God and a structure that declares God. If you've been saved, you've been employed to do Gods work and you've also been paid in advance. Psalm 37:35 We have a promise that God will always protect us.
